    Smooth? Yep, when ESS only gives certain dynos out with certain software smoothing. Take a look at PencilGeek's dyno of his stroker on an independent dynojet whose graph did pass through ESS hands, not exactly as "smooth" as other ESS graphs. It is just the way they are showing the graphs in Winpep, that's all. Those people are idiots.

    No, but it would seem there are some high boost ESS issues which have not all been sorted yet. As far motor issues, no.

    PV=nRT
    How is volume the key? Volumetric flow rate does not tell you how much air mass is entering the engine. psi alone cannot fully define the state of a gas which is what I mentioned in my post earlier, you need to know temperature and to know that you need to know your compressor efficiency and inlet temperature. Assuming they are the same for both ESS and Gintani then the exit mass flow rate of the air from the blower is virtually the same per psi boost. Do you see? And just like others were saying, how much can you play with timing at 12:1 compression on a boosted motor? I think there is 3/4 of the story missing here, because physically it does not jive.

    P.S. no need to teach me pv=nrt, I learned that when I was 5 Click here to enlarge

    Basically, what this all boils down to is that making the claim that one will "walk" the other one at the same boost based on absolutely nothing is absolutely stupid.

    +1 same thing on N54 platform and any other platform for that matter UNLESS air "mass" is different (different compressors) which doesn't seem to be the case here...

    The two blowers are vortech units which are similar, although the T-trim is capable of moving more CFM.

    Either way, we are talking about splitting hairs here.

    ESS uses a V3-Si setup with self contained oil.

    Gintani uses a Vortech T-trim without self contained oil.

    I really need to write a tech article on gas dynamics, lots of misinformation being thrown around; and it's starting to get to me.

    Everything you said is pretty much what I meant as well in that post.

    And when you say you Psi cannot fully define the stage of gas. yes i know that is why i brought of the formula. it has everything needed to determine or at least be very close of an estimate to the flow rate.the inlet temprature is obviously held by the MAF. the compressor efficiency is another formula for that specific compressor with its AR. and yes mass flow rate would be the same obviously if the chargers are the same and the psi is the same..

    I'm glad this was posted here because I found it very funny that no where in that original post was it mentioned that the ess car that ran those times n traps is running a 100SHOT of NITROUS....Then again maybe that didn't make much of a difference tho Click here to enlarge lmao
