    HPF Stage 2 turbo E46 M3 at the drag strip - 11.7@130 - Similar to Stage 2+ SC E92 M3's

Yellowssm took his HPF Stage 2 M3 to the strip and put up some respectable numbers. It is good to see more Stage 2's getting out there especially to confirm our earlier reports regarding inflated Stage 2 HPF trap speeds. The car is a 6 speed manual and ran leaded race fuel on Mickey Thompson 265/40/18 drag radials. What is interesting is on stock internals the E46 M3 and E92 M3 are very comparable. This car obviously is 10 second capable, just take a look at the 60 foots and the room for improvement. Congrats to yellowssm for getting out there and putting up some nice data!

Sweet but it's just so disappointing that race gas and 100% methanol is required for that. I don't really think it is, personally, especially with a very intelligent stock computer. I think HPF require racegas and 100% methanol because they need to build in a safety buffer (not just your ordinary safety buffer, but a very forgiving one because the AEM is not as consistent nor intelligent). There's absolutely no reason why leaded race gas and 100% methanol is necessary to run those times or those power figures. 2 cents.

It's 11.5:1 compression, you aren't getting those kind of results on stock internals and that compression ratio without meth and race gas with a turbo.

If he is upping the boost I think meth and race gas certainly are necessary. If it was a low compression built motor I would agree with you.

Before the poo-flinging gets too far, it is worth noting that the car ran without meth (essentially stage 1) and that the track is a couple thousand feet above sea level.

With no meth I can understand him running race gas for safety and higher boost pressures/timing advance.

There we go! So no surprise on the leaded race fuel here, smart move.

We need more E46's and E92's trying bias-ply tires... don't think anyone has thus far.
