Just placed an order for MFactory's flywheel option! Can't wait to get it installed, though I'm not looking forward to the slow break-in period.

It'll be paired with a Spec Stage 2+ clutch designed for the factory DMFW--the latter is a requirement of the flywheel design.

Note that I was interested in MFacotry's clutch, however it is not a sprung-hub clutch and therefore will transfer more driveline NVH to the occupants than sprung-hub alternatives. This is great for a racing clutch as there will be marginally less parasitic loss in the driveline, but not ideal for a car that is (for the time being) my DD as there is nothing to absorb impulse loading during idle. By the by, MFacory did state that they may develop a sprung-hub design depending on the reception of the current clutch.

At ~9kg (~20lbm), the MFactory flywheel falls closer to the Spec steel SMFW (22lbm) than the Spec aluminum SMFW (14lbm) and hopefully won't have too much issue with chatter. Though, these numbers are somewhat meaningless unless we know where the mass is distributed radially in the flywheel--it'd be significantly more useful for flywheel manufacturers to publish the mass moment of inertia of their products. (Hint, hint)

If we can get at least 10 people for the 09+ 6 bolt, I can offer them for $399.95 inc free shipping! Actually, same applies for the 06-08 8 bolt, if we can get a group of 10 Click here to enlarge

We have the oem sample 6 bolt now, so just taking our measurements and can start production shortly (probably 1-2 month lead time)
