Yeah I run better starting in 2nd. For some reason when starting in 1st no matter what I try timing craps out. Probably from trans spin. Click here to enlarge

Log any of your runs? How's your timing in 1st and 2nd?

A 6R80 trans brake should work inside the ZF trans. Food for thought.

Does anyone else still want to argue or disagree that trap speeds have very little to do with ET, 60 ft, launch etc, and instead a very good indicator or WHP over anything else. I think an almost 13 second ET and a new trap record in the same pass proves my point pretty well. Nice work on the record AK

I agree. This trap shows roughly 700-730whp considering my car is at full weight and I weigh 240.

I know with a manual were i can accelerate a little sooner and not let off the gas so long between shifts , all else equal I should see 135 plus

This is common knowledge or should be. Why would anyone argue otherwise? If they do, they don't understand the topic to begin with.

Hehe, this trap speed on a slipping transmission. Now imagine what the traps would be if he wasn't having trans issues..... epic.

I rode in his car before and man let me tell you something I am scared shnitless of it

Not sure I really agree with this, I have seen 550WHP Hondas trap 133. For 700+ WHP this would be a pretty low trap, even with all the issues you have with the tranny, I understand weight has a lot to do with it, curious to see how it traps when you get the MT in it

Anybody who knows anything knows that's not a pretty time slip. But the fact of the matter is that trap speed is very good considering everything else is not. All that shows is he is putting down good power and he has a ton of other things to work on. Either way... Good job! I can appreciate someone going out and not holding back the actual results regardless of the outcome. Baby steps forward are better than nothing!

Better than no trap for 2014, don't you think? At least he's bringing real life data to the table regardless of his slipping trans or not. No excuses just numbers.

Your comment seems pretty out-of-the-blue considering it seemed as if you were pretty content with the results as of previous posts in the thread. Someone manage 2 rustle your jimmies?

what the $#@! is wrong with you man, he didn't even instigate or try to put Dan down, and idk if you notice or not, but they both have a similar situation in their builds in that the car's transmission is what's holding it back from showing its colors. stop trying to start $#@! man wtf
