This game is ugly and Chile is wasting so much time killing the pace. I want Brazil to win just because Chile is playing such an ugly game.

Brazil played terrible football and got lucky when Chili missed the last penalty.
If they keep this level of playing they won't make it to the final for sure.

That was the best goal of the tournament IMO. Holy crap, what a beautiful shot by Rodriguez.

    agreed. Awesome shot.
Let's just hope Uruguay does not kick him into hospital for it...
    They are playing pretty rough.

I really enjoyed that game. Colombia looks strong! Can they actually advance past Brazil though? I doubt it. Going up against the host country and that host country being Brazil is a nightmare scenario.

I hope they do it though.

Can the USA get past Belgium is another question.

I can imagine Colombia winning from Brazil.
And USA can certainly win from Belgium.
They (Belguims) are not that good

No the best goal was van Persie ,this was very difficult to do and you have to do it with a specic technic.if you look at it in slowmotion you can see it

That Dos Santos goal was excellent.

WTF is wrong with the Dutch? They are playing like crap and look slow. Mexico looks much better in the heat.

The ref should have just kicked the ball into the Mexican goal himself.

Rewarding flopping with advancing to the quarterfinals? What a joke.

It WAS a penalty.... just like the one against Australia vs Italy in 2006 which was even "lighter on"... but sadly a penalty nonetheless

    Well, it's discussable.
I've seen the footage from different angles several times now, but I'm still not sure.
Fact is that the Mexican should not have put his foot there and not give Robben the opportunity to fall.
On the other hand, in the first half the referee did not give a penalty to Robben where one was certainly needed.

The best thing about this match was to see the Dutch team switch from 5,3,2 to 4,3,3 and start playing controlled attacking football very well.
And the Mexicans not really adapting to the configuration change.
The victory IMO was inevitable from then on, but I am certainly biased.
It's just fortunate that the match was over within the 90+ minutes, for the temperature inside that arena was 39C!
I would not want to run for 5 minutes in that temperature, let alone 90 minutes.

You're definitely right I don't know what he was thinking but Robben of course did his part acting.

Honestly France looked amazing at the end. Nigeria played great and it was toe to toe but France just started peppering them toward the end.

    The French look good!
