    Gintani introduces their Stage I 5 psi non-intercooled entry level E9X M3 S65 V8 supercharger kit - 550 horsepower, $6395 intro

Gintani is introducing their new Stage I supercharger kit. This kit originally was to be called Stage 0 but Gintani instead decided to call this the Stage I and move the intercooled kits to Stage 2 and up. Yes, this kit does not feature an intercooler which keeps the pricing down and also runs low boost. It is essentially a cost effective way to supercharger an E9X M3 and if one wants they can add an intercooler later of course or meth injection.

The kit can essentially grow with you. Horsepower goes from the stock 311 at the wheels to 420 at the wheels on the Gintani Dyno Dynamics dynamometer for a gain of 109 wheel horsepower. For those who like to dyno race these figures of course will be higher on a Dynojet. Flywheel horsepower goes to the ~550 range from the stock 414.

A nice new entry level supercharger option from Gintani. Introductory pricing is $6,395.00.

    Stage 1: 5 psi (Approximately 550 HP/380 TQ)

    Kit Includes:
    •Vortech V3 Si Trim supercharger
•Black Hard Anodized CnC Supercharger Bracket
•Supercharger discharge pipe (powder coated) with blow off valve
•Intake manifold (Available in custom colors)
    •Eight High Flow Fuel Injectors
    •Spark Plugs
•Eight Rib CnC machined crank pulley (Hard andonized)
•Eight Rib idler pulley/Rib tensioner pulley
    •AFE Air Filter
    •Steel braided oil cooler lines
    •Three silicone couplers
    •Custom ECU Remapping
    •Miscellaneous hardware

Looks pretty good. Did this car have full exhaust as well or any other mods besides the kit?

Aren't they working on 100% E85 tunes also? How much more do you think this kit will gain from that?

You can get an E85 tune no reason why not.

Badass. The first beta kit was amazing too when i saw it in person. It was much different than this. Great bang for the buck honestly. This is the same price as some intake tune full exhaust setup. Except you're getting much more.

I'd like to hear their reasoning behind that crazy bend between the air filter and the supercharger. Seems like a lot of compromise to get the filter into a hot part of the engine bay vs the other designs which relocate the filter down in the bumper.

Certainly a valid question, it is an aggressive bend. @Sales@Gintani.com

I wonder if it's due to the fact that it's breathing directly through the hood vent? Great price! I never expected reasonable prices for basic S65 S/C kits.

I'm just wondering what this kit is capable of with full exhaust, intercooler, and pulley. I don't know the price of their next kit up from this though, so not sure at what point you just go for that kit, I'm guessing it's like $10k though?

It's just going to get better.... Gintani should hit a home run with this kit. It's very reasonably priced and 550 hp in the m3 is a nice amount of power.

There is a heat shield and two air duct pipes which direct cool air from the bottom bumper to our filter. We felt this was better for those who see rainy weather and help avoid the issue of running into big water puddles and sucking in water into the engine. The shortest route from a filter to the supercharger is optimal.

It may look like a big bend, but the opening is bigger than the inlet on the blower and flows perfectly fine. We've tested it with a filter and without all the way up to 25psi with no issues.

Thanks for the explanation, I figured it looked like a tighter bend int he picture then it really was because obviously the Gintani kits make great power in the real world.

man, the pancaked intake can only not hurt because it's a direct line from filter to inlet haha
