Backing up here though, what bike did you have more trouble with? Guessing the R1 considering mods - was he 100%? That seems like it would be an easier win for him, but maybe not. I have no idea what power you are making.

why does the R1 only hit its highest rpm once in the video? His shift lights only activate once;Looks like he was short-shifting for no reason. id wager the results would be different had the R1 given you everything it has

Beating 145mph bikes in a roll race... sounded like they were starting in 5th gear. I'd hate to see you race a real rider, lol.

Dead stock R1 is a low 10's high 9 sec 1/4 mile bike, with good rider. 140+ MPH. Like most modern liter bikes are. '07 is a bit outdated but with those mods and good rider ought to be in that range if not even faster. OP, you are moving.

The other thing is, one tends to get complacent on a fast bike around cages (cars). You get used to tooling around in 4th gear and blowing by even "fast" cars with just a flick of the wrist. I know I do, and sometimes I look in the mirror expecting the car to be 100 yards back and they are still there, I think, OK dude has some juice.

Would not surprise me these guys were still slack-jawed even after 2nd pull that a freakin' 3 series was not just close behind but ahead of them. Or they were just tools. Because face it your car is super fast but it is not a 9 sec car. Yet.

Good run!. I love how people try to ninja hate. Is it really so hard to believe he beat him from a roll?http://m.motortrend.com/wot/video-fi...ace-91447.html

From a roll, quarter mile times and 60 foots don't matter. Trap speeds are what matter there.

How can people not understand that still? Not to mention drag increases on the bikes at higher speeds.

Watch a single turbo upgraded 335i N54 run and beat liter bikes on the highway

This 335i looks very healthy based on the video. This is the same 335i many of you know that showed 753 horsepower to the wheels last month and if you doubted that there is some serious power there allow the runs in the video below to alleviate any concerns. The two liter bikes going up against the 335i are a basically stock Honda CBR1000 (with a slip on exhaust) and the camera bike is a modified Yamaha R1.

The R1 is on E85 fuel. It also has an aftermarket cylinder head, forged pistons, full exhaust, and a tune. The 335i has the following:

Custom Top Mount 6466 by John Donovan.
Clutch Masters FX400 6 puc clutch.
    STOCK MOTOR!
    Dual CM10 Meth nossels
    100% meth
    Gulf Mach 116 race fuel
    29 PSI of boost.
    Jb4 g5
    BB Flash

These are some seriously fast bikes but this is also a seriously fast 335i. It does very well against the bikes dispatching the CBR1000 surprisingly easily and it is the R1 that puts up a very good fight. People will be quick to point out that the quality of the riders makes a big difference and it certainly does. That said, what happens in the video is what happens and we see a high horsepower car running with liter bikes on the highway and even beating them.

This type of race will usually favor a car as the drag on a bike at higher speeds is greater than the car and it grows geometrically as speeds rise. Yes, cars can bikes can be beat on the highway and this is nothing new.

The 335i does very well. Great video from BimmerBoost member @aflatau

No idea. I know a LOT of cars that have beat me from a dig race. From a roll race though....I've put car lengths on them.

Its like that old supra joke. Whats the difference between a stock turbo supra and a single turbo supra? none they both run 11's lol. On the highway though...everything unchanged....the single turbo has the advantage.

This should be common knowledge on this forum. You don't have to be a 9 second car to run with 9 seconds cars on the highway. Trap speed, trap speed, trap speed, trap speed, trap speed.

Plus in this case especially aerodynamics.
