    M3-GTS DCT/DKG flash and DME flash.

    Hello guys. Just for information, i found DCT TCU and DME flash from limited m3 GTS.
    Now i'll try to test new TCU flash on our m3 ESS.
    If will be all right and this flash will better than stock, i post dedicated guide how to update this.
    Unfortunately we do not have stock m3 to test DME software from m3 GTS, but if anybody have experience with WIN KFP i can provide ZUB # for DME flash and you can upgrade you DME via Win KFP. ( but i do not take any responsibility )

    Isnt the M3 GTS a 4.4L? I wouldn't risk flashing a stock s65 DME to the GTS software if that is the case, its obviously going to be a fairly different tune.

    No no, I didn't mean to infer a specific price/offering. I know that evolve (I think) has the GTS TCU logic, but have no idea what ths cost is: http://www.evolveautomotive.com/arti...w-by-alex-roy/

    It's not ECU logic - as in mapping for the GTS engine, it's the logic used for shiftpoints/pressure/etc for the DSG gearbox... See my link above.

    The OP specifically says both DME and DKG programming. I believe he is talking about flashing both the DCT and DME, i was just pointing out that flashing the DME with the GTS software on a stock S65 would most likely be a bad idea...

    He states he himself will try the TCU flash and if anyone at their own expense wants to attempt the DME flash he will provide the details. I'm curious to see what happens. Doesn't gintani have the capacity to program the TCU? Thought I read that somewhere.

    He is reffering to OEM 240E s/w update, not a tune ($1000) and also speaks of DCT GTS s/w update - IIRC only ESS charges for DCT tune, the rest of the mainstream offer it for free

    Guys i am successful flash DCT TCU from m3 GTS.
    Two days ago and all work perfect. My observations
    1) When we use D mode it's more smoothly and a little bit faster
    2) In aggressive sport mode it faster and more sharp
    3) In manual mode it also faster and more sharp
    I provide video as soon as I can.

    This is flashed through the ECU though right? I'm wondering if we can add options to the BimmerBoost software to be able to do this.

    which "level" are you using. IIRC, there are 3 settings, each progressively faster, but fastest has been known to overheat non GTS DCT's..

    DYI M3 DCT flash from M3 GTS

    WARNING...If you dont know what your doing, dont be brave and blindly go into this advanced flashing of software into the TCU module.. If you mess up you can easily brick your tranny module and you will find yourself towing the car to the dealer and looking like a fool. If your not too confident in doing this, either pay someone or just do without it.....WinKFP is a very dangerous tool but yet its awesome and in terms of coding its pretty advanced.. Proceed after reading this warning if you choose to do so...

    ONE NOTE::: Please no PMs on how to set it WIN KFP and IDIBAS. You have to do some work yourself..

    Once you have configured your laptop properly, you need to download Spdaten 50.2.
    When you Install Win KFP and IDIBAS make sure that is woking.

    Here we go:

    -Make sure your battery is good if not get a battery charger

    -Open drivers door and turn ignition ON (cluster guage on)

    -connect cable to obd connector of car

    -Load Winkpf software

    -Press (F1) comfort mode

    -Press (F3) Update ZUSB

    -Choose ECU GS40

    -Press (F2) Choose ZUSB

    -Choose ECU GS40 and next to it there will be ZB-Numbers..Find 7845773

    -Click ok

    -If you have done it correctly so far you will see at the top Assembly Identification number 7845773 (M3 GTS assembly line file) and it will automatically reference the software 7845773

    -Press (F4) Enter VIN ( make sure you double check you have entered the correct VIN numbers)

    -click ok

    -Press DONE (F8)

    -Press (F3) Program

    -Pop up window will say you can code the ECU 63 more times, click ok

    -Flashing begins and you will have to wait till it reaches 100%

    -once it reaches 100% it will pop up again saying you have 62 more times to program the ECU, click ok

    -Programming again starts, wait until this reaches 100%

    -If everything is done correctly, then you will get a pop up screen saying programming done, click ok

    Yes! More than likely...Its just an extra way to make easy money...They are using "stolen" software...I doubt 99.99999999% of those guys can code or program their own software when its encrypted by BMW...Very much like the Alpina flash 335i AT guys are using
