With the gearing of the M3 you don't miss it, although any tq is welcome. I'm plenty happy with the tq i get from my evolve kit and I came from a n54 with that meaty tq band. I can imagine this kit will give more tq than my supercharger so its a win.

I worry about the DCT handling it though....

It is the mid-range torque gains our TT provides which we were aiming for (which is advantageous for daily driving compared to being flat footed on the throttle all the time):

    • From 3200 RPM to 4500 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 60+ WHP more vs SC.
    • From 4500 RPM to 7000 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 90+ WHP more vs SC.
    • From 7000 RPM to 8300 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 50+ WHP more vs SC.
    • From 3700 RPM to 4600 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 80+ WTQ more vs SC.
    • From 5500 RPM to 6200 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 100+ WTQ more vs SC.
    • From 6200 RPM to 7200 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 60+ WTQ more vs SC.
    • From 7200 RPM to Redline – The Twin Turbo makes 40+ WTQ more vs SC.

Any updates? Ready to up the boost? Looking forward to seeing where a TT stock motor S65 peaks at since it's less stress on the motor over a S/C, maybe 700+whp will be seen?

I just got off the phone with Gintani. Unfortunately they were not open or online when you posted your 'demand' for info at 5 AM.

It may be best for you to stay over there. You would fit in better.

    Kthxbye

I was talking about this kit the other day with Alex. I asked him about it and the updates and he said all anybody will do is criticize about this or that or how much time this or that is taking and there is no point.

It's better to simply get it in the production quality he wants to get it and release it when the time comes. There's no point feeding trolls who aren't going to buy it anyway.

I'm not sure if I should take this post seriously or feel like I'm getting punk'd. Of course there will be trolls on any forum, but there will also be genuinely interested people. I just want HPF-like power for my E92 that is reliable. Someone I trust pointed me in the direction of Gintani and I've been keeping my eyes open. Maybe I can't understand why a business owner would withhold information and updates because of a few bad seeds in the crowd. To each, his/her own. We went back and forward on a similar issue before regarding this kit. Internet presence and communication is a way to build rapport and trust for potential customers, but cements like the one you quoted paints a bad image of the owners mentality for people who can only do research from afar.

I personally can speak from experience. In hindsight I wish I had done exactly what Gintani is doing. The one and only thing people bring up is our Stage 3 kit taking so long. If you are really interested in the kit, be patient and when they do announce you will be able to buy it immediately.

I've been super busy with things lately, and am trying to catch up here, but agree that this is the "right" way to release a product. Imagine if I were to say "I am building a piece of software that does some amazing thing that everyone wants" - but then take one year to perfect it. Yes, I can give out an Alpha/Beta version (and worse, charge people for that "honor") - but a true professional - selling a rigid/perfect (as close as possible) product should sell what works. That gives the person selling the item credibility, helps prevent people from $#@!ing that it sucks, etc...

TL;DR;? I don't understand people who are complaining that something isn't ready when it's only going to benefit themselves for waiting. If you want quality - and want to buy quality, and the item having this quality isn't ready - go buy some other product that is out there that doesn't do what the product you are wanting to buy does.

When the information is there it will be there.

If you want more, pick up a phone and call them.

There internet presence is their business but I agree with how they are handling the release.

You can get HPF power with an SC btw.

I agree with taking the approach of waiting till the product is ready until the release. It seems possible though for them to put together a conservative timeline of when it could be released. I'm sure they have one internally. At least that way people could wait for the kit rather than settle for something else.

Eh, I don't think they took any down payments from customers, so they really don't have to provide any timeline. At that point it is better to release when ready as opposed to having to answer 50000 questions when it takes longer than they expected.

We know how the car moddibg world is, people will opt not to wait for this kit and get a SC, then the kit will come out and they'll sell their SC and get the kit.
