*All WHP (wheel horse power) ratings are approximate on 100% E85 and can vary based on ethanol percentage. They also assume that you have the other necessary upgrades to support your power levels and fuel mixes. They are only to be used as a reference when choosing the correct LPFP for your application. If you have any questions about your application, please contact us.

**As a reminder, Walbro does not warranty the Stage 1 GSL392 pumps for E85 use...so while there haven't been many failures, it is a possibility and your only option will be to purchase a replacement pump. For those that are running high percentages of ethanol and this is a concern for you, you may want to consider the Stage 2 LPFP upgrade that is E85 certified.

    Thanks!

As you know, our constraint is the high pressure system. At this time I have provided two cost effective DIY solutions to maximize it's potential and meet the needs of those in the community.

Stage 1: For those wanting to save some money and/or retain their stock bucket, the 255 inline is a great choice.

Stage 2: For those wanting a certified E85 solution that is PNP, the 450 bucket is also a great choice.

Going forward, I don't have any plans of offering a 450 inline pump. I am working with other products and methodologies to provide robust and cost effective solutions to meet the needs of current and future developments.

I'm planning to release a few units on this site to ship in another week or so. I'll be taking orders for those after I confirm all of my parts are procured and have firm dates for their arrival. The next release will take place in late June after I've received those cores back and can do another wave of upgrades.

    I'll announce those dates soon.

    Thanks

I'm going to open sales on these tonight at 6pm Pacific time and details are as follows:

All orders will ship the week of May 19th.

    Option 1:

A rebuilt bucket with a new 450 pump, filter, PITA clip, and ring tool.
    Cost = $400 + shipping + $300 core deposit*

-These will be subject to availability and are first come, first served. I currently have 7 in stock-

    Option 2:

A new upgraded bucket assembly, PITA clip, and ring tool.
Cost = $650 + shipping and an optional refund of $50 with the return of your used stock bucket. (no time restrictions)

-I will order accordingly for these-

    Option 3:

Send in your stock bucket to be upgraded. Includes new 450 pump, filter, and PITA clip.
Cost = $370 + shipping and an optional refund of $50 if you return a bucket to me

    *Core deposit refunds.

These are conditional upon receiving your stock usable core. In addition this is a very simple install, consequently in order to help insure these are returned within a timely fashion so that those waiting can get their orders as quickly as possible, the core refunds will have the following refund policy.

If the core is returned within __ weeks the refund will be:

    2 weeks = $300
    3 weeks = $250
    4 weeks = $150
    >4 weeks = $50

**international orders will not be available for a couple months.

***There have been a couple inquiries from those that have Stage 1 kits. For those of you that have my Stage 1 kit, if you purchased the following, you will get the corresponding discount.

    Option 1 = $50
    Option 2 = $25
Option 3 = $50 + another $50 if you choose to return your second bucket.

A couple of you already have a NEW Walbro 450 pump. For those that want to send it in to use for their upgrade, I'll credit you $140 for the pump and $10 for the filter as long as it is a Walbro 125-190.

I'll update the original post shortly as well.

Hey all, I've had a few questions as to what each stage includes and I can understand the confusion. So in the next couple days I'll take pics of each kit and each option to better clarify. In the meantime I've added a couple pics for better visualization but here is a quick breakdown.

Stage 1 is simply your stock LPFP bucket and you install a Walbro 255 inline pump.
You can order this upgrade in 3 configurations:

Option 1. Walbro 255 pump and all the hardware to install. (as pictured)
Option 2. No pumps included, only the harware to install the 255 pump. (pictured minus the 255 pump)
Option 3. New OE BMW LPFP and Walbro 225 pump with everything already assembled and ready to go. (PNP)

Stage 2 is an OE bucket that has been rebuilt with a new 450 pump, filter, and fittings. This is the easiest and cleanest install as it is PNP when you receive it. You CANNOT run the 255 pump inline with it. There is no need for that and the outcome won't be pretty Click here to enlarge

Option 1. Rebuilt bucket and you return your core (pictured above)
Option 2. New bucket (also rebuilt) and no core exchange
Option 3. You send your bucket in for rebuild

All pricing and payment links are located in the first post.

Sorry for any confusion, I'll try to continue clarifying in the next few days with more pictures and illustrations.

P.S. I've also been able to obtain a couple more cores and will continue to do so as this is the cheapest (minus the deposit) and most convenient option.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Looks good Steve, I ended up doing something very similar to your option 2 with a Walbro 465 E85 pump.

Great stuff Steve. I know this info is probably posted somewhere throughout the discussions but how is the flow characteristics of stock LPFP w/255 inline vs the 450 bucket? I have the 255 inline long before your kits came out and pressures look good running E60. Would there be any real advantage of upgrading to the 450 bucket other than a cleaner install and certified E85 LPFP pump? I know eventually the 255 and stock LPFP may fail as they aren't E85 certified but I have no idea how long they generally last. I probably have maybe 6-7k miles on mine and I bought a new bucket when I installed the 255 so I know it was a fresh pump. Thanks!

i can/will vouch for Steve. his stage 1 kit is probably the nicest/well thought out "kit" i've bought across various platforms from an indivdual (not a shop). if this were ebay, he'd get 5 stars.
