could just be the stock number is a poorly maintained car and the dyno is inherently a little happy. any exhaust change that hurts bottom end like that might produce positive effects elsewhere if tuned to a more narrow useable band to suit a track car so i wouldn't necessarily call BS without full details from the horses mouth.

You can manipulate the numbers on a dyno .

I really just don't get why nobody is questioning 61 whp on 91 octane pump with the mods listed. Since when does the S54 pick up gains like a C63 AMG?

The 'tuned' run looks like it was done in another gear (like 3rd). It's just TOO smooth of a line.

Yea you're wrong on this one. We had a completely stock, untouched E46 M3 make exactly 300whp, and 301whp, corrected, on two different dyno jets, on two different days.

I'm not wrong at all I'm 100% correct and perhaps your dyno isn't a Dynojet.

Notice how the baseline car here shows 280 whp?

    Here's @flipm3's baseline:

Seriously, how can people not know what an E46 M3 puts down in this day and age? It's been dyno'd to death. And then tell me I'm wrong? LOL

    Once again, well established:

That's what I thought, usually e46 M3 should dyno between 270-275 SAE (17% drivetrain loss) while other exaggerated numbers usually come from Dynopacks and STD correction numbers.

I said in my post they were both dynojets. Two different dyno jets, on 3 different days. 300+whp each time. Don't care to argue with you or anyone else though. Doesn't matter to me... Carry on.

The E46 M3 is not a 300 whp car in stock form. I'm sorry, it's my job to keep accurate info on this forum. I've dyno'd the car and owned the car. I've been to dyno days with E46 M3's. I've seen E46 M3's on a dynojet.

275 whp for the E46 M3 in stock form is old news. There is no 300 whp stock E46 M3 on a Dynojet in SAE. I don't know where this is coming from.

On 93 octane you can hit low 280's stock:

300 whp on a Dynojet is what a good tune will get you. Not a stock car. Period.

posting graphs goes a fair way to prove it is not BS.

surprisingly 15% loss at peak power and 12.5% at peak torque for RWD manual seems to be pretty accurate for stock vehicles and e46m3 fits this pretty well

I've seen higher resolution photos of the Loch Ness Monster.

Regardless, there is no such thing as a 300 whp stock S54. Any tuner can with experience on the platform can validate this.

I just want to make it clear I have nothing against you but seriously, who in the world thinks E46 M3's put out 300 whp stock? 10% drivetrain losses? I wish. I wouldn't have lost to those damned WS6 Trans Am's.

You know, I completely forgot to mention this, but we utilized Loch Ness Monster saliva as a fuel additive on these runs. I knew something didn't add up...

If your dynojet reads 300whp for a stock E46 M3, then you have a dynojet in need of some calibrating.
