My visit to Huntsville Alabama, Space and Rocket Center.

I was shipped out to Huntsville AL for 2 weeks to do some testing on some equipment I designed and analyzed. The test facility has worked closesly with NASA in the past and they gave me free tickets to the space and rocket center in huntsville. They also took me on tour of their facility which is about 50+ years old. The vibration chamber they showed me is 24 feet in diameter and was used to test the Saturn V second stage booster. Yes, I got to see the same test facility that tested the $#@!ing Saturn V, it took people to the $#@!ing moon. $#@! you.

One of the most interesting experiences I have ever had. Well I'm a nerd see, so to me rockets and stuff is very cool and nostalgic. As a young boy I've always wanted to be part of the space program.

    Just look at the pics.

Here is a $#@!ing Saturn V, that's right, sitting in the middle of highway. I saw it from 3 miles away.

These are huge and they belong to another rocket, the Saturn V's are even bigger.

This is me standing underneath the saturn V engines. $#@!!

This is a single Saturn V engine, it is like 35 feet tall and produces 1.5 million pounds of thrust EACH. It used 5 of these engines. $#@! your M3.

This next one is a V2 I believe, It was the brainchild of Verner Von Braun the first rocket scientiest who defected to america after WWII.

    Breathtaking peice of history.

Speaking of old rockets, this was the first self propelled long range rocket (back in WWII it was devastating to the british). It was a pulsejet, not turbojet, developed by the germans to try and inflict damage on major populated cities considered far away at that time. They were very loud and scary for those who witnessed them.
