Did someone take offense to some of the 5862 vs. 6466 spool talk?

Good stuff Dan, I'm no expert, but those logs looks great to me. Looks like full boost by 4krpm, 20psi by 3800 RPM, and 15psi by ~3600 RPM

Wondering what spool would look like in 3rd gear assuming you could get traction. AFR's are definitely a bit lean right after target boost is hit, but its not sustained. Still would make me nervous at these power levels...

A wee bit lean for pushing the envelope like that. Meth+DI gives you headroom but still….

Spool does look sharp though for a large single.

I wonder how AFR's would look just switching e85 for race gas. Would be nice to see ~12:1 for sure but hey, someone's gotta test these pistons right?

It's a bit lean. I think target AFR is usually 11:1. I looked at Terry's logs and they look like 15:1 until WOT then goes to 11:1. If it were me, I'd try and stay at 12:1, it's just a matter of keeping things cool. What is your target AFR? I'd bring that up and see how far off you are from target.

I run 12.1 - 12.5 all the time. Per the csvs and my wideband

I think everyone is missing the fact you are running 100% E85. When using this with the associated Flash you will see your AFR's much leaner. This is allowed due to the properties of E85 and has been mentioned for the past year by Tuners.

Yes thank you. Click here to enlarge
It leans out a tad at spool then runs 12.1-12.5 after that. These are like 4th and 5th gr logs so it looks worse as its "slowed" down.
I don't wanna be like Terry lol he ditched the 6466 and doesn't run full e85 yet. So he can have his 11.1 AFR

I'm pretty sure all of the posters here are aware. Its never advised to run 15:1, but honestly his lean condition is not very sustained, just less than desirable. At the power levels he is at, *I* would prefer to be closer to 12.75:1-13:1, but meh whatever. Its his car and he is a big boy, he can do as he pleases.

Bollocks, you do not want to be above 13 for very long in any accelerated range regardless of whether it is E85, MS 109, not worth the risk when he can run 11.8-12 and get zero chance of detonation

Direct injection plus Ethanol on a boosted motor has proven that peak power is somewhere in the 13.5:1 range. Maybe not everyone will agree with me, but once you factor in the cylinder pressures of a single turbo pushing 600+whp, its probably a better idea to stay closer to 12.5:1 imo.

Yep. Not much else needs to be said.

But OP's lean condition wasn't anything crazy. I'm sure we've all seen worse.

    Hey guys it's OK lol.

It was on my old plugs from when the valve cover was leaking. I just swapped plugs and I'm running 12.5 consistently under boost now. The old plugs were a wee bit nasty Click here to enlarge
