    half axle help...

Didn't think I had enough to do this...but my right axle let go last night, best part was i was out of town and had to leave the car 2 hours away.
I've searched and seen plenty of info but wanted to get some input from you guys who've been through this. From the pic, looks like the joint was the weak point? is it possible to rebuild this? Looks like DSS shafts are the best upgraded solution but i believe they require a working assembly to upgrade rather than a replacement shaft correct? At this point, i just need to get the car back here and thought i would just replace it with oem and then focus on upgrading later. Anyone know the best place to get a replacement cheaper than local dealer?? i've checked a few vendor sites and can't seem to find them.

I think DSS is your solution. I don't know of anyone else who has made axles for this car.

Thanks. Can you confirm they require a working axle for the upgrade?

From what I have seen there is no core charge you are buying the whole new axle. I may be wrong.

I was under the impression that you needed to send your working axles in to DSS for upgrade. They may have a rotating pool by now?

I thought the same but according to DSS (I talked to diff guys there) they do not need a working axle for their upgrade process. The challenge now is that DSS says they can only upgrade axles with these numbers associated with them; 7-527-066-A103 & 7-527-065-A103 (rt and lft, respectively)...I have this number on mine but it doesn't appear to match any part number i can find..i.e. called ECS and they have a part number that's not even close and have nothing that matches the one from DSS or what I have on the axle...anyone know what the 7-527 numbers refer to??
