    What's this? Well, it's a home made gasket we are replacing on a recent turbo installation from "those guys". A gasket that costs about $2.93 to replace. It goes on the drain for a turbo in a 335. Why would you not spend the 3 bucks to replace this? The original gasket is steel and doesn't leak. This is what happens when you go to sub par shops because they are the cheapest..... or you listen to people on the forums and don't do your research. We are authorized vendors forVargas TurboCharger Technologies for a reason. We do quality work and do NOT cut corners. Especially $3.
    That's really pathetic. I've removed and replaced my turbos three times (through no fault of my own) in my driveway and I would never even joke about pulling some $#@! like that. If I took my car to a shop and paid them to work on it, then they did something like that, I would be furious. I do all my own work so I can sleep well at night.

    Installing a standalone and building a harness is right up my alley. I need to ditch my day job. You guys look like you have fun getting paid for doing what you love.

    Ya'll have no idea how much happy dancing I did today, because of this.








    I'll be the first one to tell you this
    DO NOT TRUST THE WIRING DIAGRAMS THAT ISTA SHOWS YOU. IT'S A LIE. ALL OF THE WIRING DIAGRAMS ARE A LIE.

    SERIOUSLY. I must have found 30+ wiring discrepancies in the schematics, IPO's and connector pin outs. I trusted BMW's ISTA to tell me the correct pins and wires. I built a paper lay out. I mapped this out over a few hours. I hammered out an idea. I stripped the harness and connectors all out, and built it exactly like it shows in the wiring diagrams.

    BOY WAS I WRONG.

    I ended up having to find a similar production date 335, and had to manually trace all of my wires to make everything talk correctly. I have well over 100 hours in this now.

    But, back to the good news Click here to enlarge I coded and programmed the CAS, updated the VO intergration level and can talk to everything now. WHOO HOO! Click here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlarge

    Now, to code out all the junk I don't need in the VO (air conditioning/MRS/DSC/FRM/FZD/seatbelts/doors/windows/etc.etc.etc.)

    THEN, bringing in the entire front end off an E90 that I bought (subframe on a pallet basically) to start figuring out the engine wiring harness aspect. Once I get that done, I should be able to hit the button and the engine try to start on the pallet Click here to enlarge


    THEN, off to the dyno to mock up downpipes, intercooler piping and cooling.

    Who has some aftermarket downpipes they want to ditch? I dont care WHAT they are (just not stock due to the restriction), they are gonna get hacked up to get around the dyno chassis.

    Anyone have a charge pipe with a decent BOV on it?

    Anyone have an aftermarket intercooler they want to try? If not, I have a 3" godspeed big'gun old intercooler off my M3......
