    What a S65 Piston looks like cross sectioned.

    I had a junk S65 piston from a rebuild so I thought id cut it up and show you guys.

    What do you think?

    I assume he painted it to show off in a display case or something customer facing...after you cut metal I believe you have to polish it to remove the machine markings if you want to show a real 'cut away' of the metal and how it was formed. Like if you want to show the difference between cast, hyper, forged.

    To highlight the cross section and the saw marks didn't look to nice. Might get another one water cut that took a big hit to see if I can see damage in the metal

    That's cool - haven't seen a cross-section of these. What's the deal with the rebuild? What happened - and what's the plan for the rebuild?
