Again, these are just a list of mods that are not well known and not widely used. I always like to have available options in front of me. Develop a baseline for comparing other modifications and manufacturers by pricing, performance value, etc. Any and all contributions encouraged.

    • Exotic Speed RCF Carbon intake
    • LOBA LO470P N54 Turbos (Has ANYONE heard of these? @chrisisnapping, known by VW's?)
    • ER Carbon fiber FMIC shroud (I love this, would be all over it if I had an ER FMIC)
    • Turbo blankets for stock housing
    • E46 M3 intake duct
    • K and N pro series oil filter
    • 3d design power steering reservoir
    • Challenge carbon fiber door panels E92 ( Prob. not too safe but wonder how many lbs shed)
    • KSport BBK ($1500 BBK, theres has to be a catch but didn't look in to them)
    • Phantom G-stop brake lines
    • CMS Brake duct kit
Bump. Info request on the "E46 M3 Intake Duct Mod"

Argh I need upgraded wires & coils!

In regards to the Ksport BBK: Ksport uses cheap off the shelf parts for all of their products unless things have changed. Cheap ass BBK, Suspension, Bags, etc.

The only upgraded coils for the N54 currently are the Okada Plasma Direct Coils & Okada Power Ground

Someone on here put both of Okada's products on his Built N54, but we never heard anything back from him about the coils or the amplifier.
Edit: Here is the guy's build: http://www.bimmerboost.com/showthrea...ighlight=okada. By the way, if you read all they way through dzenno's post you might like to know that I believe the stock dual-mass flywheel causes misfires on 450+ horsepower N54's. (Remember this is only my personal conjecture).

Did anybody mention cams yet? I remember hearing about aftermarket cams but no one has data or dynos from what I know.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of production aftermarket cams for the motor. Most tuners don’t even seem to dive into the overlap tables to begin with, for whatever reason.

A cammed N54 would be so awesome though.

I know Kaizen Speed was doing some type of look into it a long time ago…sounds like nothing came of it.

    @devinalsup019

If I remember correctly they are along these lines. I'll try to make time and get links for all the products.

Just got off the phone with BavAuto and confirmed that they don't currently offer upgraded coil packs for any of the N designation motors, that means no n54, n52, or any other modern BMW engines. I too was let down when I searched in vain for these coils on their website. As for why they list it in their promotion, I can only conclude that someone messed up. If you able to track these down let us know they worked great in my 323i.

This will not work. The E46 M3 has ITBs and no charge pipe to worry about hooking up. That intake mod is actually the CSL intake as sold in Europe. It is extremely hard to get and expensive. Even the knock offs are expensive from what I understand.
