    DIY cheap M3 cowl mod

For a long time I was considering M3 cowl, because of easy engine access but I decided to try something else first before getting it. I bought BMS cowl filters, but didn't like idea of water going in to my engine so i did some cutting to my OEM cowl. Can you think of any negative effects, opinions? Feel free to comment.

I'm not sure about negatives other than maybe water?

I've ran without the cowl for 2 years now on both my N54s, neither have been any worse for wear. I just leave the HVAC filter on, but the cowl is a total PITA so I ditched it. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
