"shivstg1.bin" loads but car won't start. I tried it on 4 different 07 335i. When i instal" shivstg0" its good

    hey guys,

Some background information first. I have loaded BMS backend flash and wedge flash on over 10-15 07 335i for some local members that have FBO cars.

I am trying to load some flash tunes for people without a piggy back but have DCI DP and exhausts. I went in the download section and downloaded these files

    "bimmerboost.com/vbdownloads.php?do=download&downloadid=14"

The "shivstg1.bin" loads but car won't start. I tried it on 4 different 07 335i. When i instal" shivstg0" It works perfect but not aggressive enough. Anyone know why or if there is another map to try beside this stg0 for someone wanting a more aggressive tune without a piggyback?

First are you selecting the right bin? There is only a IA80S stage 0 bin but there are IA80S and IJE0S stage 1 bins there.

edit Are you (hopefully) reading and giving them a copy of their stock bin? If that's the case (hopefully) just use the OFT XDFs off his site and make a bin (with TunerPro patch function) using their stock bin.

Exactly. Read the car to make a backup of the stock bin file. Then use the Vishnu XDF file and apply the stage 1 "patch" that will make all of the tuning changes to the original bin file. Flash the modified file to the car. No safer way then to modify the original bin file that was read from the car. I've seen all kinds of weird issues crop up if you use someone elses bin file.

Pretty sure this is from a local guy I was helping learn BIN patching the late last night, I don't know how active on the forums he is, but his issue should be taken care of now. I think he presumed those BIN's were all for the IA80S cars, which would have been his issue, as he wasn't patching. He was backing up, though, so all is well in bimmerland.
