Thanks for the heads up on this ECS tuning doesn't list this seal for my diff but they do sell them
I ordered 2 axle seals, 1 drive shaft nut, 12 axle bolts, 2 new wipers (lol)...I couldn't find new bearings so I will probably get a shop to swap over the inner bearing races for me on the diff. I did downpipes not too long ago so hopefully I can reuse those gaskets with some muffler cement. Anyone have any other recommendations before I tackle this sucka ???

No prob, BMW did indeed have one the same day I ordered it. Once I had the right seal it went back together pretty quick. In fact I was surprised how easy the whole thing was aside from the following.

removal of Driveshaft nut - I had to use heat to get this off. It actually bent the heck out of my AR wrench.
Although the 2 top bolts in the diff to frame have nut's they are still threaded into the frame.

other then having to drop the heat shields and exhaust it was very straight forward. The Cir-clips are a pain also, I was fortunate to have a set of snap-on ratcheting C-clip pliers. This tool was serious (BIG) and Thanks to my Pops for having these types of tools laying around.

    Good Luck!!

Some good info here ..thanks. Did you get someone to swap over the bearing races or did you find new ones?

I swapped over my stock bearings since I couldn't find any where local to buy new bearings. One side came off easily and the other was a bit tougher due to the space between the diff and bearing race.

As we've not received all of the payments yet, I'll keep the group buy going for the AT Small Bolted over the weekend to give others a chance to join last minute. Once this is over, you will not see another 20% discount again for a long while, so best get in now whilst you can Click here to enlarge

For the members considering this diff, Received my diff last week while I was out of town, so far doing business with Stephen has been a pleasure, and it was a quick delivery. I wasn't even expecting to receive the diff yet as it was unclear as to whether all the group buyers had submitted payment. I will attempt installing it this weekend if I receive my exhaust before then--killing to birds. Stephen thanks for the quick shipment.

Yes, easy job. I dropped the diff, drain it, open it.. And the only hard part was to find a seal extractor for the side seals lol.
For the torque specs I found a DIY on e90post. Was very easy from there. Press out and in the bearing on the diff . Then easy cake put it back on . Everything fitted perfectly in place.. Thx Mfactory .
If anyone has issues please let me know. I'm in El Paso if anyone is close by. Thx.
