    Smg and light flywheel

    Hi,
I'm building an e46 m3 to take part in the German tuner gran prix and be the fastest BMW on the Nürburgring. Last year I went below 7min 20 sec in a RUF RT12R(including a 80 kg copilot)
I have got a complete build engine: forged pistons, rods, bolds, modified valve train, polished in and outlets.
My plan is to reach 550whp with my ESS supercharger kit.

My first question: Is 1 bosh 044 fulepump getting its fuel from a 2l swirlpot?

Probably I need to change the clutch. Can I also go for a light flywheel ? It is a SMG car.

If yes , which flywheel/clutch kit would you suggest?

    Best regards from Germany
    Rafael

Maybe Look at a stg 2 clutch but your OEM one should be fine.

Also look at getting Fuel Rail and Fuel Surge Tank from Radium:

Depends. I see you are going to an SC.

If you only plan to leave it at the power level the SC kit is designed for it will be fine with the stock DME. That said, if you are making this a dedicated track car a high-end standalone isn't a bad idea.

I have an SMG and have been running a UUC LWFW and Stage 2 clutch for almost 2 years with an SC. It holds up fine with 560 WHP and the downshifts / rev matching is awesome, especially with the CSL SMG SW mod.

It is coming out soon though for a OS Giken triple disk R3C to hold the Saad Stage 3 power. I think the UUC would explode at these power levels.

Off topic.... Is anyone running a Kevlar Ballistic blanket or tranny blanket since scatter shields are not available? Also who makes the best drive shaft loop for the E46 M3? I am going with a DSS one piece drive shaft.

Basically anybody can make a driveshaft loop. They shouldn't differ all that much.

Get it tuned by evolve. If you go with a light weight flywheel I would also consider raising your rpm at idle.
