Is my AT on its way out?

So my 08 135 is having some serious issues. When in drive or roerse sitting still the transmission disengages, when it does it in reverse, after it kicks out it won't move at all unless I put it in park and then back in to reverse. When in drive it kicks out throws the trans light on but will still move but not till it's at like 3k rpms. The car only has 38k, stock turbo, with FBO no meth. Haven't seen many tranny problems with stock turbo

Is the trans on its way out or could it be something small? Only thing I could find that sounded similar was battery related but I haven't had any signs of a bad battery.

How does it do once you get moving from gear to gear? Say....2-3-4 pull or something, it seems odd that it just wouldn't engage, maybe torque converter, but still seems odd for the power you're pushing

Shifts are fine. It acts a little lazy on light throttle but wide open shifts are right there, no slipping, nothing. No warranty...

+1. Also reset TCU adaptations via INPA or similar.
