Gintani S65 Twin Turbo Start up!!!

Originally Posted by Sales@Gintani.com Click here to enlarge Hey guys, we understand that everybody is more than frustrated with the delayed progress and updates on this thread. It was our fault for releasing the information way too early without considering running into a few bumps along the way. We would like all of you to understand, this project had started out for us to have some fun with our own personal car. When we decided to make this into a production kit, there were a lot of changes that needed to be made for everything to fit like oem and for everything to be safe. The space we are working with is more than tight. This is not one of those turbo kits that you can build using just aluminum piping and U bends.

As of now, we have made a lot of changes even to our turbo manifolds and extreme changes to the piping. We are doing our best to finish the production pieces which will include a lot of cast pieces.

The car has been taken apart again for a few more changes. We will be testing fitment of newly designed pieces. We will be putting the vehicle back together with the fabricated pieces and old design turbo manifolds and will continue further testing with these components until the final production pieces are completed.

We understand an update has been long overdue, so here are a few videos of the kit. Enjoy.

The question for me is what size turbos can they fit and how much power will I be able to make.

If I can outperform the YSI they might as well just give me the turbos now.

It's a question of what size turbos fit. And I pay cash, no debt.

lol, are you trying to keep your car in the shop? Ditching the S/C before you even park in the garage? I like your style...can't wait to see what a TT M3 does. I'd like to see twin FP HTA 3076r's or 3586r's. Would be beast.

I don't give a $#@!. It's a toy. Who cares, I'm already looking at picking up other cars. It's a never ending project to promote BimmerBoost. The goal is to be the best and have the best. That does not happen overnight.

I'd love to see 1200+ whp.

Well I swithed from going with a HTA3794r to a 3586r; until fueling and trans is figured out I just didn't see the point in adding lag with no extra power. We'll see what one of them can do by the end of the month, two of them on an M3 would just be sick. FP turbos BTW are what a lot of GTR guys are using. Oh yeah, on the 1200whp, I expect to hit 750whp on my single 3586r, FP has a dyno posted of 731whp on a mustang dyno, so 750whp on a dynojet should be doable

EDIT: On the other car thing, I really hope you get a C7 and get the chevyboost.com up and running, I own two bowtie's now and hope to add a C7 sometime in the next year or two once an SUV is in the lineup.

    @Sales@Gintani.com

    My questions are:

    1. How big are the turbochargers or what are the turbo options?

    2. Will the upgraded DCT have any problem with the turbo torque?

    3. Will this make more power than a built motor YSI setup on E85 at 25 psi?

Big enough turbos on the M3 and it will really challenge the big boys.

I just finished adding the forums for hyundaiboost, jaguarboost, and kiaboost, the other day. So it's coming along. Still like 20 sites to go.

Just edited that post to add in power potential of that Turbo sticky, if you are truly thinking about a TT setup, I strongly suggest looking at them. twin 3586r's should yield 1200+whp no problem and not lag like crazy to do it. They are also not a real bulky turbo like a BW.

I hate the down low response of the centri and driveability of it.

I'll end up with whatever makes the most power but I want to see if the DCT and block can even handle the turbos.

I think they did say they would try to fit twin 35R's.

Would be fun to go to 4.5 or 4.6 liters with the turbos too.

Hell yeah, that'd be sick. What is your car's redline currently at and compression after the build?

Redline is around 8500 but I wouldn't mind them raising it. I need to see a full graph to determine that. Schrick can probably be persuaded to make some FI specific cams.

    Compression is 10.0:1.

I know that the Gintani design is the place the turbos between the manifold & X-Pipe, but would it be possible to do a top mount TT-S65? Or is there not enough space in the engine bay (even if you moved things around)?

Just cause it'd look $#@!ing bad ass to open the hood and have two monster 35Rs around that V8

There isn't enough room for top mount twins.

8500? Isn't it 8450 stock? Either way I'd think there's plenty of top end for a badass TT setup.

Yeah I'm sure there isn't enough room for top mount, as tight as space is around our little 3.0L I6, can't imagine trying to work around the V8 in the same space

Scare yes, just like @ultimateendz TT-CTS-V (so many hyphens), but the real question is will either of these cars put the power down? That's the beauty of AWD in the GTR & TT-Gs
