Calorie counts? Would it change your mind?

    Alright,

So I think by now everyone knows that fast food places were forced by law a few years ago to post nutrition facts on the menu and containers. Now they are going to make it manditory on vending machines to post calorie count of each item before you purchase.

If you saw the calories on everything you ate before you made your choice would it effect your choice or not? For example, every restaurant showing calories next to each meal, etc.

It would absolutely impact me, as I'm a pretty visual person and like to stay healthy, just not good at keeping track of what I'm taking in.

I would pay extra to not see the calories.

Bottom line is numbers on paper aren't as important as exercise habits and self-control.

Never looked at that stuff before, then again my metabolism is crazy high and I don't gain any weight. I practically eat out everyday. Mostly consisting of chipotle, taco bell and pizza.

Couldn't care less... When I want a Five Guys bacon cheeseburger, I know it's a calorie/trans fat bomb, but it's not a regular habit. Best thing I've done "health" conscious is cutting soda out of my diet (excluding special occasions like Five Guys, trips to the movies, etc). Just don't have it in the house anymore or at dinner, was amazed when I read the label & saw Coke's got ~40 g of sugar per can.

This is huge, I'm a huge believer that most people do more damage to themselves by what they drink and not what they eat. I was never a huge soda person, but cut it out of my diet besides movies, pizza, and with alcohol on occasion. I have a friend that orders Coke everywhere, even at breakfast....no way can't do that. Water, water, water, not even sweet tea or "health drinks" like gatorade should be drank on a regular basis.

Only eat in-n-out every once in awhile, otherwise I never eat fast food. Been on a high protein and complex carb diet for last few years (whole foods). Oh and lots of water.

Red wine with red meat, I already know that, lol, just curious what you would drink with a burger. I prefer coke, lol. I suppose maybe a Sauvignon/25% merlot mix wouldn't be bad though

I'd go with a Cab or a Syrah if you want me to get more specific. Something big and chevy, a MollyDooker Enchanted path would be perfect.

Calories? I gotta consume 3100 a day at least just to keep my body from burning muscle in my workouts. I just eat whatever natural foods. Lots of bacon, chicken, eggs, sweet potatoes, chipotle, lots of white rice, and im still droppin fat.

I like it when i can splurge on oreos, froyo, and cheesecake and still have abs in the morning lol.

Hell even after my workouts i go for Shake Shack or Smashburger...all that protein lol
