Love Gintani's work, almost makes me wish I bought a E63 M6 rather than my E92 M3 now. Keep up the great projects, cant wait to see them turn into production kits.

The M6 is a lot heavier.

Very excited that someone local to me has just ordered this for his M5 and we will be at the same airport roll racing event in April.

    Badass!

By the way, I'm amazed how many Australians this site has.

The Gintani rep from the other side of the country flew over to supervise installation of a supercharger on an M3, and while he was here they all went out to dinner. I think that level of customer service is what sold him. Unfortunately I couldn't make it out to meet everyone.

That is how it's done. They are more hands on. People really need to speak with them as the forums don't tell the story in this case.

You can find a 996 turbo with under 75k miles for mid $30s. Might not find a large list, but they are def out there. I know someone that purchased one in Nov 2013 with 61k miles for $31500.

LOL $#@!er, when your car is driving I will send. Idk if I would feel too comfy spending money on a car I can't see or drive. That's an okay deal I guess with the low miles, but an 01 Click here to enlarge.

The 997 is the better buy I feel as the 991 didn't make it quite as outdated due to the headlights remaining basically the same. So it will hold its value better not to mention the interior and transmission options are superior.

That said the 996 is a great value. It hasn't aged well though.

The creature comforts of the 997 are very hard to ignore, but if you're just looking to build a high HP car then get the 996 and put the extra $20k+ towards mods. Especially because a lot of the Porsche guys are ditching the stock flash + EBC tunes for standalones, there's a good chance you'll be messing w/ the electronics and can easily redo the center console with a gauge cluster + NAV.

Regardless, both are Mezger motor Porsches and you can't go wrong. Now if we'd only see more turbo GT3s Click here to enlarge

Turbo GT3's are the better way to go IMO. Harder, more expensive, but more rewarding.
