VAC Motorsports | N54 on engine dyno

Stock, for now. ;-) KMS is one of our largest dealers in Europe and we are their official importer for North America and the Middle East. This N54 is going to end up in something very interesting...

A few pics from when I visited them 2 yrs ago.

Not 100% sure yet, that's why I didn't mention anything. N54 on an engine dyno is pretty rare footage, so I wanted to share Click here to enlarge

    So:

460 ft lbs and 310bhp... Not so far off the 300/300 except the TQ part. That part was way off.

I saw the kw. For some really weird reason I thought kw was pretty much the same. I'm curious what they've done to the car and what a true stock n54b30 would get on the engine dyne.

Looks like they're testing tuning it with their ECU:

Harness can vary greatly depending on use.

How does this stack up against the ProEFI 112? @undercover

I'm assuming its available now? Is there capacity to drive the DI?

Ditching DI in itself isn't really tricky. At the moment, until a proper DI fuel setup becomes possible, all out power setups will most likely need port injection to help. However, the reason why we can run as much dynamic compression (boost, timing) on the N54 is highly attributed to direct injection in the first place. I'd guess that changing it over to full PI would expose stock internals weaknesses sooner as we wouldn't be able to run the same levels of boost/timing on a port injected 10.2:1 N54. Those switching to PI exclusively will most likely need to drop their compression to 9:1 to reach high power levels with large turbo(s) and especially pump gas.

Or run meth, or higher octane fuel, or pull timing, or lower boost, or higher quality internals. I'm running higher than 9:1 as are many turbo S54's.
