S54 direct port nitrous done at Undercover

Direct port is the way to go on this motor and it will hold a pretty freaking huge shot. Guys have done up to 250 even I think.
@max@undercover these are the kind of threads to create Click here to enlarge

Dyno numbers and further details would be great.

    is this the RSWorx m3?

I know they are building a e46m3 with a SAAD kit and proefi and undercover was doing the tuning on it. If so @Sticky they were using a 6766BB turbo.

Nitrous has been done to death on the S54. It's a stout nitrous platform.

I guess I have been on the wrong forums and not getting out much.. I have only seen S/C, Turbo charged, built motors, and bolt ons.. I personally don't know anyone spraying or heard of anyone on the S54 until now.

Ok Guys. Who has the highest HP s54? Any help is appreciated.

I feel like were possibly approaching the limit of the block. Unfortunately most of the "blown motor" cases I know of had questionable tuners and machinist. This motors been runnin hard for quite some time at 800rwhp without breaking a sweat. Just multiple vanos failures which is now resolved. And were makin ALOT more power than that right now.

The bottle hasn't even been turned back on yet and I'm wondering if its even possible to do besides to keep the turbo at target boost in between shifts.

    Oh.... Its a 7675Dbb Precision

I ve been working on S54s for the last 8 years. Twin 68 mm turbos have been the biggest turbos on my s54s so far. Nitrous up to 300 shot. Made 997 whp on dynamics in shoot out mode 5 years ago. Thats like 1200 on dyno jet. 5 years passed and I kept on improving my S54s. I havent dynoed in the last 5 years as I tried to put power to road. My best 100-200 kmh has been 3,61 s 3 years ago.

Now I am working on an all wheel drive S54 and hope to drag test, see what it does in 1/4 mile.

Have you recorded your 100-200 kmh times?

Are you possibly whom I was speaking to vac about last week? Something like a x5 drivelinemor something?
How much torque have you made and is the motor still together? Have you done anything with the mains besides hardware?

The drivetrain is not BMW, it is "custom made", only the front and rear differential housings are BMW, internal parts of diffs are modified. Transfer case in-house built. Propeller shafts custom built. Torque distribution is controlled electronically.

How much torque: I dont know, the days at which we measured 997 whp we did not pick up engine speed and dyno could not measure tq. Bought rpm pick up device from Dynamics in 2012 and sold dyno by 2012.

Engine is staying together, although 12,5:1 is a high compression rate.

Mains: OEM main caps did not hold with what I threw at my S54.
If your oem main caps are still not damaged you are not pushing it hardClick here to enlarge

I built billet main caps for my S54 (also for my S50 B32). If you want a set of billet mains let me know, I have a set on shelf.

Other than billet mains, yes I did other modifications to S54 to keep it together. There are "details" small and/or big details that needs to be fullfilled/manufactured/designed to keep S54 in one piece.

Well as you know, keeping a motor together is all about how the power is applied. A 300 shot is a big kick in the ass! I don't feel as if were leaning on it hard. But the numbers are concerning. Making 800ft/lbs currently. I'm interested in the Billet Mains. I would puke this motor before I upgraded. So maybe we can have a short block ready to go before proceeding.

You may start with a 75 shot and see how it goes on.

Shoot me a pm if you are interested in billet mains.

How high do you rev? Any cylinder head modifications?

    LOL^

Haven't even revved to stock redline yet. Borderline $#@!ting myself with anxiety of the thoughts of pushing a main.

    Stock cylinder head!

I'd only be using nitrous to help with spool. Maybe a 100 shot at 4k to 14 psi is the general consensus of me and my colleagues.

4 k is too late. Better spray earlier.

Start @ 2700 rpm with 30 shot and progressively go up to 100 shot @ 3200 rpm. This will help spool.

Below is a photo of my S50 B32 which I built last week. You can see girdle, billet mains.
