Right. Crazy what aero, race tires and a SC can do. He's a very good driver too

I ran 2 seconds faster on an old pair of those tires. They are good for 3 seconds prob more with sc as they let you access that power earlier. The braking was on another level too.

I have a wing arriving next week. Wing seems to be good for 2-3 seconds. Looking for 1:58s with it. Removable for daily driving

I'm looking forward to that too. I'm surprised the brakes didnt bring you down a second from the last time. I'm sure with the aero it will make a bigger difference. The brakes wll probably show better at big willow than button willow due to the higher speeds etc.

With the brakes it was due to the standard stop tech street pads that come with the kit. They aren't great. The stock brakes with race pads stop harder. But the stop techs were more consistent.

Brakes will actually show more at buttonwillow than big willow. Stock with pads was fine at big because it's so high speed with only three hard braking areas. You get enough cooling Buttonwillow is much harder on them.

Last time at button I ran stock with hawk dc70 pads and it was damn good

Damn, that's crazy. You'd think with the bigger brakes you'd have to keep your time on the pedal less. I guess it's still the same. Are there only street and track pads? Nothing in between LOL at least to bite harder or something. I guess I can see what you mean about Buttonwillow needin it more than big willow.

Incredible times man! I knew you'd see a profound difference between the two setups.

I bet with more seat time, you'll eek out a few more tenths of a second.

What aero will you be running?

    DAMN CAR LOOKS AWESOME!!!

Going to look very well balanced and aggressive when you mount the APR spoiler.

Do you plan on doing anything to reinforce that front lip or just using the standard double-sided tape and screws?

Oh man...StopTech Street Performance pads are absolute poop. On my first track day of the year, I didn't have enough time to throw in my PFC 08 pads. I annihilated my pads. Went from nice and thick down to the backing plate :O

Wasn't planning on it. Maybe get some sealant to cover the holes. I think I'll break a splitter if I get one as it's my daily driver.

Im putting on some porterfield R4. Drove my buddy's car with them and they were amazing. I've used hawk dc70 and they were unreal on the stock brakes but squeal louder than any brake I've heard.

    Good deal man!

Yeah I've never been a fan of the Hawk pads, despite their popularity in the autocross and track season.

After those Porterfileds, you should definitely give the PFC 01, 06, or 08s a shot. By far my favorite set of pads. Awesome initial bite. Great modulation. Good endurance. Plus a lot of the BMW and Porsche ALMS/PTG/CupCars use it, so it's gotta be what the cool kids enjoy. Click here to enlarge

I use Endless ME20s in my stoptech, they have been flawless so far. They don't squeal for me but I don't really run them on the street. Only have them in a couple of days either side of a trackday and use the stoptech pads on the street.
