    FFTEC Motorsports Photo Log

FFTEC specializes in turbocharged applications, with focus on product development, tuning and fabrication. We manufacture our own turbo kits in-house, by hand, ensuring the highest quality control. We currently offer kits for BMW, Porsche, Mitsubishi Evolution, as well as other niche markets. We have designed and established a full in-house product line for many platforms and continue our platform expansion. Our team of (three) ECU calibration specialists has 42 years of cumulative tuning experience. This, tied in with our quality product line has led our clients to multiple world records and championships.

Our business philosophy is simple: Client satisfaction is number one, next to service and fabrication. We choose to install only the highest quality products in order to ensure a vehicle that will outlast and out-perform its competition.

At the end of the day, FFTEC Motorsports exists to provide our clients with the highest quality products, tuning and service. We have the experience and ability to make reliable street cars with a 'kick', or championship place holding vehicles.

To kick things off, here are a few projects we've completed for our clients in the past:
    ________________________________________

    - Zhong Cheung's Daily driven Xtreme Speed Champion, two years and counting.
    *Overall Redline Time Attack Winner
    *1st place Modified AWD Category
    *1st place Modified class

Zhong came into our facility to get some advice on his current setup, and a tune. We quickly realized the potential of the car in its arrival configuration, and outreached a sponsorship to him with following upgrades and support.

Living in L.A. our relationship continues, as Zhong brings the car back to us monthly allowing for upgrades, and maintenance to ensure this daily driven vehicle is mechanically sound. You read that correctly; Zhong's race car is also his (only) daily driver. He continually places first among fully prepped/gutted racecars in this class

-Global Time Attack at Infineon Raceway taking second place using a street car!

While our clients competition time attack Evo was being developed in our shop, he purchased and upgraded a new street car to race the Global Time Attack series in its place. The car, being a street car, was equipped with all comforts you'd expect ranging from full interior, radio, A/C. while on the circuit. This particular car ran double duty throughout the day competing in the open track sessions, and time attack sessions back to back. John's Evo had no issues during any of its brutal session placing second in the modified class. The competition in was pretty stiff to say the least. John's Evo held its own well while running with fully prepped race cars.

-FFTEC Motorsports prepared Competition Drag Racing Mitsubishi Evolution

Patrick B's Drag Evo had been running low 10 and 9 second 1/4 mile passes for over 4 years with the same engine; well over 80 passes in total. Last year it lost a spark plug during a run forcing us to build and install a fresh engine. Currently our client's best pass has been a 9.2 at 154 MPH.

-Sean O'Boyle/Josh Salvage, 5th and 2nd place finish at the SCCA National Auto X in an FFTEC Tuned Evolution 9

Sean came to us for a tune that netted consistent reliable power from his setup. The results showed themselves within the first race, resulting in impressive finishes.

In 2011 FFTEC Motorsports, Fatlace and RWB collaborated on a Porsche 964 project car. This project was the first Rauh Welt Begriff Porsche to be built in the U.S., and continues to hold the title as the fastest RWB car in the world. Nakai has been building his RWB cars by hand for years. Each RWB kit car MUST be assembled by his own hands, with no exceptions. Once the keys were in our hands, we modified the car to perform as well as it was to looks, beautifully. Modifications included an FFTEC fabricated one-off single turbo kit, FFTEC spec'd roll cage, custom AEM Series 2 EMS application, and fuel system designed to support ethanol based fuel blends. Since then, the car has been featured in several magazines, and websites; including making Super Street's cover, and landing on blogs such as Speedhunters. Pandora One also won the 2011 Sony Gran Turismo Best Euro Award.

-FFTEC/Vishnu Single turbo kit (VFF600, VFF900) for the N54 335i. The first successfully produced single turbo kit for the N54 based vehicles.

    -The world's highest horsepower 335i
    -The world's fastest 335i 10.82 @132 MPH
-N54 engine and 335i 60-130mph world record holder.
-The BMW was also featured on Edmunds, The Inside Line.

Just before SEMA 2011 we began a single turbo conversion on Shiv's (of Vishnu tuning) 335i. The initial build and testing took a few months and has pushed the limits of the N54 engine platform and broken every N54 horsepower, quarter mile and 60-130 record ever since. After initial design and production of the single turbo kit.
    Shiv's record ten second pass.

    60-130 MPH

Here is a video of a few clients going for a ride in one of our Single Turbo 335i vehicles.

The following is a ling to Edmunds Inside Line article:

Their second article includes some videos

    http://blogs.insidel...335i-coupe.html

We also made a video documenting the abuse the car took during the trip to Los Angeles for Edmunds review. The automobile was not only was it driven to Los Angeles, but to Las Vegas afterward, with no mechanical issues throughout the saga. Since production, our BMW Single Turbo kits have can be found in clients cars worldwide.

Evan's Lightning McQueen was a fun father son summer project. It all started because the plastic tires were worn out and needed to be replaced. It started off with just rubber tires and snowballed into an aluminum chassis, 24v 1/3hp electric motor with throttle modulated speed control, disc brake, and a custom go kart style front end with increased steering angle. Throughout the build everybody joked around saying, "Wouldn't it be funny if this car became more famous than any car we've built in ten years!" Well that actually came true. Evan's Lightning McQueen has over 3 million views on You Tube, and has been featured on websites and television stations worldwide!Did we mention it had its own spread in Hot Rod magazine and was on the home page of YAHOO?

Take a look at the full build here

We've recently built a client's 335i to set a new world horsepower record of 738hp and 60-130 record of 6.28 seconds! That's faster than a McLaren MP4-12C. This 335i has a completely stock engine with our prototype VFF 900 Twin Scroll Bottom Mount Single Turbo System. The owner of this 335i "The Captain" as he is known enjoys his vehicle by attending HPDE track events all over the state. He also attended Shift S3ctor's Air Strip Attack in April where he set the weekend record for the fastest E92 vehicle at 163 MPH. Not to bad for a car spinning the tires off the rear wheels. The Captain has big future plans for his 335i and we'll be sure to keep everybody updated!

    -2013 GT-R

Mike's GT-R came to FFTEC with a trunk full of parts and 1300 miles on the odometer. Mike's list of parts to install included Gotboost Intakes, HKS Legamax Exhaust, downpipes, y pipe, and SIR turbos. After seeing his motor being lowered to install the turbos, Mike decided to pull the motor completely out have a set of Carillo connecting rods, CP pistons, Kelford camshafts and matching valve springs. The transmission was sent to Jack's Transmissions for an upgrade to handle the increased power and torque this car was sure deliver. Mike's GT-R spun the rollers to 768 AWHP on the FFTEC AWD dyno. A few days later Mike's car ran an impressive 9.7 at 143 MPH on his 4th pass of the day. Since then Mike has decided to go even larger and is having us install an AMS Alpha 10 package.

Here are a few photographs of the car and build.

The SEMA car does have the first FFTEC Top Mount Twin Scroll Single Turbo kit installed with a Precision 62mm Ceramic Ball Bearing Turbo. On our Mustang Dyno, the car put down 583 RWHP.

Comparing this RWHP to our local Dynojet which we've calculated to read about 26% higher, it would put down 730+ RWHP.

Your logo is a bit large though it is supposed to be 255x59. Please sent me a new logo that is the correct size.

FFTEC spec'd CP Pistons have arrived for Terry@BMS. These accompanied with our FFTEC spec'd N54 connecting rods yield better R/S for the N54 engine.
