    VRSF exhaust review

    Hey guys,

So after reading Zasquatches review and a couple others I pulled the trigger on a used system from e90poop.

A couple cons to start are: How big the piping is and clearance for the brace along with it being close to the inner exhaust heat sheild(could rattle if not properly adjusted). Honestly I did not notice a difference with the brace off but I do not track the car(street only except 1/4 soonClick here to enlarge.. I would not get this If I had e92 as the brace looks like it adds quite a bit of support to the chassis.

Another con is the muffler tip fitment. Seems to be a little off just like on Zasquatches.

Pros: Fit right up with very little hassle. Sounds awesome! Just how I wanted it to sound: very deep nice growl, no rasp. Much louder then my custom stock setup but much more refined and nicer tones.

I also noticed quite a change in the throttle response. Feels like it lost a little torque down low but def not that much. Also feels more linear and the spool sound resonates more in the cabin Click here to enlarge even with stock dp's!

For the money you can't got wrong imo.

Why not just custom fab a rear section? All you need is 3.5" piping with a Vband connection

I really enjoy the tone of the vrsf exhaust paired with dp's. Not overly loud but a nice tone.

Why do people blur their plates when they post pics? People see it everyday on the road.

I have argued for years about this. Unless you have something really unique or a TON of money into it it's worthless. 1000s of people see your plate every day. If someone is going to track down your car to steal it it has to be worth a ton and easy to move. I have heard of a guy who was followed home from a car meet in cali who had his supra stolen and it was never found. He parked it outside I believe. Very rare.

A lot I think comes down to where you live.

I park my bmws in my garage and the beater in the driveway. I have a rotty, security system, motion sensing lights all around the property, and a few boom sticks. I also live in a safe neighborhood and know all of my neighbors on a 1st name basis. I am not worried at all. Only thing left for my security system is video surveillance but the cost and hassle to install I don't think is worth it.

No offense but nothing on your car or mine is really worth stealing. I mean maybe the rims.

So do the tips come out at different angles, or is their center to center distance just too small?

Pretty sure its the center to center.. Its like one pipe on the muffler is slight off causing the tip to look a little bent inward.

I'm going to try adjusting it more, but either way its not to bad just does look a little off.

Mines off too on the left. Supposedly Tiago is making a new mid pipe to address the issue. Member Zasquatch had the same issue.

Yep, same annoying issue here. The midpipe is off, which throws the muffler alignment off (I couldn't get mine to sit square in the muffler opening) which throws the tip angles off.

To get the fit better, I loosened the tip clamps, pushed as hard as I could towards the center of the bumper (or whichever direction the tip needs to go to fit right), and tightened the clamps with an impact wrench. Since the tips have a slightly larger ID than the muffler outlet OD, there is a little play there. Not the greatest, but I was able to get a 1/4" more towards the center of the bumper cutout, so it is acceptable as a temporary fix by my standards.

+1 on this exhaust sounding amazing.... I love every second of it Click here to enlarge

Nice hopefully i can get in on it even if my system is used. Does the midpipe vband hit the heat sheild on idle and low revs?? Mine does. Prob gonna heat tape it for now but i hope its corrected with new midpipe

Which one? The one connecting the two mid pipes? If so then no, the only one that hit at first was the y-pipe to first mid pipe and that corrected itself after some miles of driving.

Well when doing an oil change today i inspected the exhaust and its not rattling against the heat shield but its leaking at the midpipe that attaches to the y pipe. There is a small clearance between the pipes and the vband isn't fully over it... Guess i gotta take it back monday then hopefully proper sound clips :/

UPDATE** Got the leak fixed by adjusting the vband this morning.. BUT completely destroyed my rim and tire by running over a semi-truck rubber bump stop after work. Car is in my garage, ordered replacement tire and rim and then hopefully I can get some vids up. One thing after the next sigh..
