Tha manifold with 3 throttle bodies is the fast and low buget option to get in time to race.

The intake manifold is modified m3 intake whith larger intake runners. Il post a picture of it ...

Now I am working on the s/m62 engine... were I need some advice...

Planing to regrind the cams and ad custom mechanical tapets
And delete the vanos. Ani ideeas or pictures on vanos delet options..
Any smart users to call here.

One problem is not having them
Second problem... not needing them because race engine ... not street car...

On a stock s62 torque starts faling at 4800-5000 from engine to engine
So my targhet is to have peak torque at 5500 -6000 and rev the engine to 7500 whith 7800 fuelcut

500bhp+ is possible with the S62 with following modifications:

    -ported heads,stock valve size
    -modified throttle bodies
-Schrick cams(re-grinding stock cams to this spec will reduce base circle, would not do it)
    -headers
    -efficient air feed
    -stock bottom end

    Get crank,rods,pistons perfect balanced.
Stock hydraulic lifters are good for 8k rpm+
CR increase will not give you much power gain.

Just buy the Vanos block off kit from VAC(interested in your Vanos units,BTW).

If you need more information or help, let me know.

leave the injectors where they are.

straight stack trumpes gain a bit top end power.

leave the butterflies on the throttle bodies stock diameter, just modify the body itself for more efficient flow.

Use the stock airbox, but you can put a spacer(50-100mm thick,to increase the volume of the airbox) between lower and upper part with your setup.
Get the air intake from the roofClick here to enlarge
