    Hello Everyone,

    little bit about me,

I have been driving since 1991( i know I am little above the average age on car forums) and I purchased my first BMW in 2003 which was a 2000 323CI. I had that car for 2 years then had 2005 330CI ZHP for 5 years, 2009 E92 AT 335I for 1.5 years and my current car 08 E90 6 MT for 2.5 years.

When Shiv launched his single Turbo product, it was almost impossible to find data from the actual owners of these kits. Other than the data from his car, everyone else seemed to enjoy their cars and didn't post much information. There is still not much data out there such as comparison dynos, 1/4 mile data, dyno result on E85, dyno results on pump gas etc. I always told myself that If I ever purchase a new product that others was curious about, I would make sure to post as much info as possible.

Please please please, don't take this wrong way, I am not here to bash anyone. The reason I am here posting this information is, I want this post to help others. I want to answer all the questions that I had when I was browsing the forums to educate myself about my future turbo upgrade. Now that I have the opportunity to own this brand new product, I want to make sure that people gets detailed information on the results of these new turbos.

I don't have any relationship to the owner of VTT, I actually never even talked to Tony other than a few e-mails exchange. My experience with him has been extremely positive.

If he disappears to "enjoy his turbos" like the ST guys I'm canceling the internet and having a chat with Al Gore.

Any reason in particular you pulled the engine to toss the turbo's on?

    LOL!

Yes, small leak in the oil pan gasket which was replaced today. Also upgraded the engine mounts with 335is parts.

335is mounts... hmm... didn't realize they were different, but I've heard of failed mounts leading to shredded accessory belts, so this may be worth looking into. Did you upgrade the trans mount as well? Pretty sure it's just a poly bushing in essence and I've heard that helps a lot for shift feel at the higher power levels. Thinking about putting one in when I swap my fluid from the junk bmw "lifetime" fluid to GM synchromesh.

Don’t mean to thread jack but JP- you put down some pretty solid awhp with the S2B1 VTTs yea? Obviously batch 2 will be markedly improved, just curious.

I never went back to the dyno after that first time with the dyno issue because I needed to get on a mustang dyno and just didn't have the time. But my virtual dyno (which has been accurate in the past) showed me good numbers.

I will be getting on a mustang dyno this time from the start, so I'll have real numbers. This mustang dyno I have a bunch of results from previously, so it'll be a good comparison

That looks like a pump gas FBO dyno. Is that just a baseline for OP?

Yes, this is the baseline and cobb stage2+ aggressive linear throttle map dynos. Once we have the dyno results for VTT , we'll add it on for comparison.

Power will increase yes, but the billet wheels are not all about more power on these. With the 11 blade GTX's in there, yes we had the surging issue down low, but up top, when I put the cast wheels in with no changes, it was taking about 20-25K more shaft speed to produce the same amount of boost. This is where the billet wheels really shine, the turbos work less hard to produce the same air, thus allowing them to spin a little slower and live a little longer all while making better power.
