Active Autowerke SC upgrade LVL 2 - 3

Just in time for D.O.R. II, up graded the Active Autowerke SC kit from level 2 tois Iois level 3. Upgrade consists of Larger intercooler, smaller pulley, Methanol injection kit, and the tune. Actives Meth kit is really nice. I like how it has a special quick release mount that sits atop the battery cover in the trunk. Very clean install. Intake temps and oil temps were already much better with the cooler temps, but I have noticed that the temps would creep up after a few runs up to red line. The meth seems to be doing is job well. No heat soak effects noticed after several pulls in the 1/4mi, and roll ons at DOR II. I am very pleased with how the Active Kit has performed in the car. About 7k SC miles, and no serious issues to speak of so far. Runs during the event were very consistent run after run, in fact trap speeds actually got better throughout the runs. Partly due to the reliability of the kit, but a lot of the credit has to go to Frank Smith, www.tuningtechfs.com. Frank was on site for all of my runs. He was able to make adjustments to the file in between runs to get the best results, while being safe. I was amazed at how well the car performed during the event given the beating it was taking. What is really impressing me the most is how his tuning had made the car so silky smooth in all aspects of driving. Putting around town is no issue. Throttle response is incredibly smooth, same for on/off throttle transition, idle, and so on. Can't Thank Frank, and the guys at Active enough for the pleasure I get from driving a 700hp M3 with better drivability than that a stock car.One of my main concerns before going FI was losing the joy of driving a car that just as happy to cruise sedately one moment, and hit the track the next. Below is the Dyno graph after the upgrade, and the tune slip from the 1/4. Best I could get with the street tires was a 12.11@122. I don't have much experience at running down the drag strip, only 6 passes including DOR. I thinking with drag radials and more practice mid - low 11s should attainable.

BF Goofrich G-Force drags are a great tire that won't break the wallet too bad. They are an R-compound though so don't expect too many miles out of them, but I use a pair on my stock wheels for the drag strip and works great.

Oh yeah...and nice ride! Love the AA kits!

Toyo R888 or Nitto NT05R -- If you're gonna bring one set of wheels, an R compound street tire is your best bet. You'll get plenty of grip for the roll racing and from a dig the sidewall will give.

Still amazed that Fox body Mustang on the legit DRs was able to save it 3 times during the roll racing Click here to enlarge

Nice, who were you running? Your opponent's slip looks similar to @LostMarine's times, but a different car #.

Adding content, relevant to our hobby, that is actual racing vids, comparisons, and overall interesting, is not starting trouble IMO

Saying you can't when you actually can IS. So maybe you should check with me before blindly agreeing eh?
