    RB Turbo - 11.14 at 127.46

In my never ending pursuit of running a 10 second pass, I have managed to get a little closer! It started out not looking so good though... As I was heading to the track I had a misfire and threw a cly 2 code. Lucky for me, I brought an extra coil pack, swapped it out and found that not only did the misfire go away but also my little bit of miss at WOT that I had been feeling on and off over the past few days!

Anyways, the track was just about perfect and if it were not for on and off headwinds I really think that it would of been my day for a 10. What I need to do next is find a way to launch the car harder in 2nd. With the DR's it will not let me stall past about 2700 and meth does not come on until 4k... Perhaps a custom map 6 is next?

Yeah, I just need to be able to get into higher boost a bit earlier. On street tires, I can powerbreak and spin the wheels to say 3k. With the DR's it locks down and I can not get RPM's over about 2600 or so. This also makes it difficult to do a burnout unless the really water down the box.

1st gear will be slower for sure. Been there, done that. Can't hurt to try though.

Nice times! My best times were by launching in 1st gear. I get consistent 1.7 60ft while brake boosting in first. That should be enough for your 10sec pass...hopefully. Doesn't hurt to try. Click here to enlarge

At what RPM were you able to launch to get your 1.7 60'?

Ugh just gotta get the 60’ a little faster and you’ll break 10.

With that said, I don’t see how 1st would get you there faster. At the power you’re making, it’ll just spin or bog down with DRs. 2nd is faster out of the hole.

its about covering distance, if he hooks it will be that .1-.05 seconds he needs to just get across the beams faster

True. It’s just going to be a serious task to get 1st to hook with the way hybrid twins spool so quickly.

You might just want to experiment with your car in 1st gear and see how much RPM it can take. Make sure to hold the brake as far as it will go too.
