    Batch 2 shipping update

Ok so by now its no surprise how far behind schedule we are with shipping our new batch of hybrid N54 turbos. Well we are finally in full swing shipping and were able to get 10 sets out this week. With all hands on deck we can get out about 10 sets a week, thats how involved, and how many man hours these things take to get assembled, and shipped. I have included some pics of the first batch going out. We will be keeping this pace as best we can until all are shipped. For this first batch, we went in order of deposit, but we also had some batch 1 customers who had decided to wait for batch 2. Yeah, they have been patient for that long, I got their turbos out in that first group as well. If anyone has any questions just let me know. Going to jump back on the N55 tomorrow or Tuesday, knock that out and get back to shipping. Thanks again for the people who have been very patient and easy to deal with...Click here to enlarge

I'm sure that's got to be a load off your back.

Just curious, were you able to put the 6 blade wheels in your shop car and test like you had planned? If so, what were the results?

Right now the test car has cast wheels in it. We are doing testing and once tune is finalized we are going to do a direct CHRA swap to the billet 6x6 so with no tune change so we can see the difference they make in shaft speed needed to make boost etc. We are 100% confident the 6x6's will fix the low surge problem. Its becoming a very well known issue that while the GTX wheels are very good at making air, in small frames turbos you can see the surge. All platforms that have experienced it, (Ecoboost, Caliber SRT, etc) going to the 6x6 immediately took care of problem. Those big extended tips and 11 blade design just move so much air the engine cant ingest it at low throttle openings. As soon as I am back in town, which is tomorrow night, I will be setting up the 4th dyno session next week and hopefully nothing goes wrong this time. We will get the data and swap the turbos on the shop car, and retest.

Farley, those are the 6x6 that number refers to blade count and design, 6 full blades, 6 intermediate blades, we now have 80+ 15T GTX wheels if anyone wants some cool paperweights...Click here to enlarge
