    Strong night at the track

JB4 G5 with backend flash car feels great. Demolished a GTO last night with the 11.6 run.

It was a TnT night so runs were scarce. GTO vid to follow as soon as I get it.

    1.8 60 and a 117 trap with an e.t. of 11.6 shows a few things...

you are a good driver, tune is strong post shift AT or MT , and there is room for improvement on your E.T. and most likely your mph with a more aggressive tune if youre car is happy as is.

Do you have logs ? If not what boost and timing target?

That manual kills you though. If you could get that 60' down it would help.

hows your post shift boost on the MT ? Bogs?

118 on a MT should easily allow you to run 12.2 or so with your suspension and drive train mods.. just ease off half throttle feathering to control spinning off the line that should get you a 1.9-2.0 or so than shift to second around 5k-5500rpm and than go ... that in my MT 135 would get me 12.0@120 back before flash days lol

oh nice... yea you should be better for sure... good luck! @nafoo

added camber may make it harder but ultimately i think youll do better... just feel it out, spinning is always worse than feeling like your taking it a little easier as long as you are moving... track prep is also huge...

grab r888s! youll be going 11.3-4

No logs sorry, Car has been running strong so haven't really bothered to do. I run map 6 settings that Terry suggested to me for track running. I am an auto.

Hope to have the vid of one of the runs up soon if I can get my friend to send it to me.

Great runs man. Solid ET and trap. 11.6 for those mods is excellent. Would have guessed you were an auto.

plus, iirc running the calculations, 1/4 mile times/general higher speed acceleration (and launch difficulty obviously) on a properly tuned stock housing N54 suffer with the 3.46 vs the stock 3.08, since it's a midrange car, with a fairly broad area short of redline, you want to extend out the powerband a bit, rather than reduce it.

why shift at 5-5500 in 1-2? 1-2 is the only shift it's more acceleration to go all the way to 7000rpm... 2-3 is something like 6800rpm or 6600rpm for most powercurves i've worked it out on.. then it ends up around the 6k mark iirc for the really high gears.

I have the HFS-4 kit so yes in my case, I am not sure if you are using the JB4 if it is a meth map kit. I would guess yes though.?

on street tires and cobb first gear will more than likely spin at wot... so id get out of it quick... with radials and/or traction throughout the gear id stay in it... but i dont think hes going to hook at wot in first with street rubber thats why i reccomended it.. but the car still pulls good in second at that rpm..

its all about trial and error though... try this and try that and see what works Click here to enlarge

you'll make less power+torque over 5500rpm though, so you'll spin LESS if you don't shift? :/

+1 to the trial and error though, also what suits your driving style.
