    Cylinder 6 misfire Cob Stg1 Aggressive

    08 335i 76k miles AT 93 octane

    For the past 4k miles or so I have had a random cylinder 6 misfire and I can't seem to find the cause. I've replaced all coils and spark plugs. Had the intake valves cleaned and the dealer said my injectors are fine and replaced on recall 18k miles ago but I have my doubts. They said everything is fine. I am running the Cobb STG1 aggressive and under partial throttle I get a hesitation and once it reaches past 3.2k rpm I get a CEL and it turns of the injector in cyclinder 6. Not always but sometimes. If I go to the stock map or STG1 Sport it is fine. If I keep it in DS no issues at all. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Get a log on stage 1 sport with no CEL, and one on stage 1 aggressive with CEL. Report back.

    Check the cyl 6 plug if its black its the injector.

    I've checked the old plugs and the new ones and cyclinder 6 is only slightly darker than the others. Maybe the injector is pms-ing?

    I would log RPM, boost, ignition advance and corrections (1-6), AFR, maybe fuel trims and high pressure actual and requested if you can fit all of that.

    Ok. I've got a long trip this weekend so I'll log both sport and aggressive maps. Also I haven't had any issues the past 2 days... figures. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the advice!

    Not to thread jack but I'm having the same issues except my cylinder 5 is the problem. Spark plugs are a month old, coils have been replaced, and I swapped the injectors. Its to the point where I can't get partial throttle without misfiring. I tried some logging but the car wasn't having it. Here's what I'm able to get:

    Just an update... I went all weekend long without a cylinder 6 misfire. I'm not sure what is going on. I have the agressive log from 2399rpm-3681rpm. This is the range it usally misfires so if any one wants to take a look please do! Thanks!
