Yep. Competitive individuals don't give a $#@! about how much it costs or how much you can buy a beat 335i for. They just want it now / want it to fit right / want it to own $#@!.

As for people not dropping serious coin for proper fitment and premium parts - You think @ncat10 and @csl335i are the only guys with competitive money is no object cars?

Of course this entire discussion is masturbatory; the market will dictate success of the respective companies regarding price points and time to delivery.

If you disagree then by all means; Outperform the competition at a lower price point and deliver faster than them.

Where's the Venn diagram? Fast-Good-Cheap - pick any two.

If CPE is trying to retail this at $17k, it's gonna be comparable investment to people taking a Lambo (~$100k) and taking it to UGR for 1R Package & Supporting Pieces (~$125k). There's nothing wrong with the price point, especially if it has the performance to back it up, but it better have killer performance/quality with several ~$10k option alternatives (whether it's a home built or FFTEC ST or a VTTS3).

Problem I anticipate is people will experience the same midrange fueling shortage & require a legit upgrade... SO now you're looking at Vargas' product line and justifying that extra $5k+.... And because no one is sure about the CPE's turbo sizing, for all we know the FFTEC 6266 & VTT 67 still might be more powerful options).

People who complain about paying vendors making requests about what information is shared about their products in development are annoying as holy hell.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah shut up.

So, if Shiv became a paying vendor a year ago what would have happened during the single turbo misfire debacle? I'm sure he didn't want that talked about openly until a fix was developed, so would his vendor status have bought him freedom from discussion? Seriously, that is a very slippery slope to start down.

Completely have to agree with this 110% I emailed sticky the other day to ask him about possibly closing the stage 2 thread so I could open a new one with the shipping updates as it was getting out of hand, my email was never returned, but today CP-e wants their thread edited to protect them and its done right away? So do all the vendors get this blessing bestowed upon them? Because if so I have a list of edits I would like to have made. I totally applaud you for making FFTEC accountable to either get vendor status or stop pushing their wares in here, but it also has to be an even playing field for all paying vendors.

Even though you and Vargas have your issues....You can't blame Vargas for the "$#@!ing", hes a paying vendor and all he wants is some fair treatment..

The person to blame should be the person with all the power here....Hmmm...

Unfortunately for everyone here, we've already made it pretty far down that slippery slope mentioned above..

normally i would agree, but it was a vendors car featured.. that happened to have hardware of a non vendor..

so no one can post things if the hardware is from a non-vendor? see what we're saying..

there's no "fair" treatment when he jumped somewhere else and stuck his nose in and had a thread from the other vendors car closed, where the "fairness" in that

but oh yes, the slope is mighty slippery and pretty sure a cliff is coming up

I hope 17K is a bad rumor.. that will not sell at that price period. If I was going to buy a turbo kit for 17K plus everything needed for FBO I would sell the car and buy something else.

Still cheap in comparison to what many spend on Supra's or GTR's and still not necessarily see even 900hp, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if once there are big name options to do stuff you actually don't see an increase in higher hp N54's. Look at the 2JZ and how many Titan motors you see in that platform...ever look up prices for Titan parts?

http://www.titanmotorsports.com/tmss5furacyh.html not gonna lie that's a lotta head for $15k
