    That definitely would be easier and cheeper; but the trick will be to code the DME for a manual transmission, move the clutch switch to the shifter assembly so the car starts in park, and let the aftermarket TCU control the trans with just a tach signal (and maybe speed sensor signal).

    Unless there's some sort of built in load sensor I would hope it would hook into a TPS signal, OEM or standalone so it's not trying to bark the tires on every shift.

    Ever drive an older Camaro or something with a shift kit. Every time it would shift it would squeal the tires. Exciting when your flooring it $#@!ty when your just cruising around minding your own business.
