Some people get worked up over the sequential vs batch. But IMO, batch fire would be totally sufficient.
Hopefully batch fire works as the programming to run it would be stupid simple. Click here to enlarge

Very cool. This is what RMS wanted to do for me with my car. I couldn't leave my car with them for the R&D but this is exactly what he was talking to me about. Cool that it actually does work!

I've been a huge proponent to a mixed fuel system since I started running E85. Anyway, the JB4 could technically already run these in batch. Not directly, but Terry could EASILY rig up a daughter board with a few injector drivers and control it with the PWM output already on the JB4. I know this because I have made these type of boards when I used to play around with the megasquirt. In fact I think there are solutions available to run a few peak and hold injectors off a PWM signal, he'd just have to program it in the JB4, would probably take all of a weekend if he was motivated knowing his skill, tie it to boost vs rpm or something.

I have said this before somewhere back when people were bashing these ideas, I think that sequential is useless. The advantages of SFI are mostly related to low rpm smoothness, emissions, etc. Since the cars still have DI, that's really not an issue whatsoever. Plus, if this is tuned to do some of the fueling down low, I'd honestly prefer a bit of pooling on the valves to help keep them clean. In my ideal setup I'd fire them in two banks, anything more is more work than it's worth.

Sounds great. Maybe this will be the solution to our single turbo fueling woes. Six normal low pressure fuel injectors with the JB4 running them. Click here to enlarge

Anything we can do to safely get more fuel in will be on the table. I'd be happy to program the JB4 to batch fire injectors once the hardware is available to me.
    awhawwwwwhawwwww yessss!

i love logging on here and seeing things like this pop up.

and when you don't need anything more than the stock DI until moderate revs and high throttle %, i see no downsides to this at alll, as long as nothing breaks and the motor blows.. but meth's pretty safe these days so i don't see a problem Click here to enlarge

what's the rough bill of work to do it though? the plate, rail, injectors, another pump+pump install stuff, line, regulator.. return line.. would you need a surge tank assuming if you were driving as hard as the setup warranted?.. given the fuel pump wouldn't have the same bucket-y setup like stock? or is the tank well designed enough to not need any more stuff?

i don't know enough to say anything else about it Click here to enlarge

Somebody putting together a kit including fuel pump, lines, rail, injectors, this port, regulator, return, additional injector controller, and rough tuning instructions (if you get it +- 20% close, the DME will tune the rest for you closed loop) would probably sell a few of these. And solve the N54 fuel problems.

What are you vendors waiting for?

Well Defiv is a vendor and seems like they are on it, personally I may try something like this if all else fails, but with how much our injectors flow I would much rather find a HPFP that can flow for 800+ WHP than start adding double fuel systems to the car. Prices would be similar for a HPFP that can flow that much and a whole new fuel system, with the plate, injectors, pump, lines, regulator, fittings, wiring, controller, etc, etc, etc. Neither will be cheap, either would not be needed on race gas as we had plenty of fuel even at 725WHP, either would be needed if you wanted that kind of power on E85 only.

Safe to say we'd all rather replace the HPFP with a higher flowing unit too. But until that happens.....

I think I am happy with 750 WHP on race gas while waiting rather than add another fuel system to the car. That's just me though, as I said I may try this once we get stage 3 back on the shop car.

From a pure power perspective thats fine for dragstrip and dyno queens, but running $10/gal race gas isn't a solution for street cars or road course cars that want to run mid-size turbos on straight E85, right?

Not to minimize what you guys have accomplished so far (which is awesome) but the N54 definitely does have a fuel problem.

I wouldn't drive the car like that every day. We made 673 on crap mystery gas and no meth and 693 on meth. On am sure 91 and meth would support 650+ thats a cheap and reasonable alternative for now. But I agree we have fuel problems.

Hmm. We know we can stuff two Walboro high output pumps in the tank. I wonder if someone modified the stock bucket for twin pumps but also tapped the top for a second fuel line to the rail being built here, that would make a pretty slick fix for the stock system and the secondary system in a drop in fashion. Run the second lines/regulator, maybe some wiring... good to go.

With the fuel system I have in place now I am positive I could just Y the feed before the regulator and have plenty of fuel for both HPFP and secondary injectors. Still not gonna go this route unless its absolutely last resort.
