    Expanding. XDF files

    Hello,
First post here. Is anyone working to expand the XDF capabilty for the MSD80/81? Any one understand the approach used to decifer/develop the first XDF? It is clear the current XDFs werent derived by ICD in similar fashion to GM focused products like EFI Live. It woud be great to have similar control of the BMW ECU. IMHO we have left more power on the table without full control of injector timing, duration, etc.
    Tks.

Member made a really good excel file for defining ROMs, but its over 100mbs so difficult to share... at least for me. I was on a role one day but lost everything in TP and excel, then kinda gave up. If others are working on it ill jump back in.

Is it available online? If so can you provide a link?

I count 161 defined tables in the I8AOS XDF file I am using, but a software tool I am experimenting with predicts 347 possible tables based on Bosch formats. So far all of the tables predicted correlate exactly to the tuner pro format and data contour.

Finding them is step one. Defining them can be tricky though.

here's the thread. There's 2 links to 2 ROMs including I8AOS. I made a couple changes by adding a 1 byte table and multipliers.

I find it useful, but not sure how it stacks up with other tools.

I have successfully defined my first map, specifically one that is not listed under the OFT .XDF file. I even have the 3D view matching the ROM's 3D view perfectly. Now all I need is the engineering values Bosch used to develop the ROM and an ICD to tell me what map I am looking at........yeah probably not getting thatClick here to enlarge BTW I working with ME9.8 I8AOS. Just wondering how the tuners got this information. I suspect they have licensed copies of the s/w I am using.
