    TMAP sensor IAT signal

    Is the white wire on the TMAP an 0-5v IAT? Anyone have scale info? Trying to get IAT from another location. TKS

    I'm not sure what wire corresponds to which signal. However, it does work on a 0-5V scale.

    Just curious, what's your reasoning behind creating a new source for the TMAP signal? I suspect its because your direct port meth setup means the DME will be pulling timing rather aggresively because the TMAP will not be reporting the cooling the meth provides. Do you have the ability to do the Procede back-end flash? You could just change the IAT compensation tables.

    Also, the scale for the OEM 2.5bar mar sensor is:
    0.5v= 2.9PSi
    4.65= 36.2PSi

    Thank you guys for the information. The plan is to use an IAT sensor located after the direct port nozzles. Dialing out the IAT tables to nil and letting the procede retard it when I'm not spraying is an option.

    The IAT uses a reverse non-linear voltage scaling BTW.

    Actually that's a pretty standard way to measure temperature. To make it linear and proportional to temperature would require more parts at a greater expense. The DME doesn't care that the output is not intuitive to humans, it just uses the temperature input as an independent variable in some mathematical function.

    I'll take your word for it, wish i knew more about sensors and circuitry, but its definitely not my strong suit. Click here to enlarge

    Science is planned for this. @Terry@BMS thank you; you wouldn't happen to have a bit of 'sample data' at various temp points would you?
