    Based partially on this thread, i picked up an 09 dct e92 m3 today. My first drive in an M! Lotta fun and very very different than my n54 335. So i have abandoned my 335 roots and plans for modding the n54 to produce more boost than dci and jb4 gave me. Now i am looking to supercharge the e92. I re read this thread and i am a bit confused. Sounds like rotrex and evolve both offer super harger kits (i assume a large single turbo). Also sounds like exhaust is mandatory. Ok say i want to spend high four figures for those two products. I like lost marine's comments, but i cant tell if he advocates for evolve or rotrex. Also which exhaust pipes get me home? I am in california, so i cant go catless, i need to be able to pass smog. I also like the idea of an affordable supercharger kit. Any guidance would help out a brand new and slightly stunned member of the M community. That car is SO much different to drive than my torquey n54 6M. I felt exhilirated and a bit humbled driving home but also womdering where all the horseys were hiding. Probably in that high rpm band that sounds like the engine will break out of the mounts if i rev past 5k! I live at 6k regularly in the 335! What s/c kit do i need? Evolve 600 sounds like i wont be disappointed (but i havent priced it yet.....)

    Ok, first of all these are superchargers not sure why you said large single turbo.

    An exhaust system is not mandatory but it won't hurt you'll want something that flows freely to maximize gains especially if you plan to run an aggressive pulley.

    Rotrex makes a supercharger unit. Evolve makes the entire supercharger kit. That means the tuning, manifold, associated hardware, etc. Make sense?

    The power is all up top and the motor is very smooth not sure what you mean. You want to rev it past 8k to ge the power.

    Thanks sticky. I have seen mondo commentary from you opining on subject of m3 vs 335 which contributed to me buying the M3 today. I have been looking for a vendor to quote me a price on the e600 kit. It appears they do not do direct sales. Any recommendations where to look?

    now the CP-E n54 kit if it does in fact come with a fuel FIX , via secondary injectors, or hardware, you will have more than likely 100 more hp than the e600 kit for a similar price but everyone is bashing that price...

    It is also targeted at people who want near factory reliability. Basically set it and forget it power.

    MPH is Where I thought it would be. ET needs work, but this is 100% is street form, no higher octane, no weight reduction, no drag radials, soft launch/roll off the line-still 6.7psi. I m pretty sure once i can launch the car on a good tire its mid 10's and maybe a tad quicker mph... but I think its time for 8 PSI and raise hell

    i dont think id trap 128 at the current weight my car is at... you should pull a car or so every gear or two id imagine

    youll def do that with some sticky radials and 2 more lbs... 130-131 should be good for a 10.7 with a 1.65 but it doesnt seem the DCT likes to get going that easily...
