    BB Flash aborted during write

    BT cable doesn't find the DME anymore.

    I have an INPA cable.


    How do I get myself out of this mess?


    Read and verified the stock flash, so I can revert to that. Was trying to flash to the IJEOS pump flash.


    Wipers came on during the start of the flash and wouldn't turn off, pulled the fuse.


    What do I do now?


    Car doesn't start. (no DME flash...)

    get a battery charger, and restart the flash after you pull the negative terminal from the battery for a few seconds and replace.

    the wiper thing happens when your battery is about dead.

    Got this sorted, hooked up the charger waited, found the DME, read 0V but successfully flashed.

    So, I don't really see a central repository to this, and information for this new tuning software seems to be a bit scattered. So, is BB flash working with non-BT cables now? Also, did you manage to flash to a new file, or did you just revert back to the old one to get out of the mess?

    No it isn't
    It works only with the BT cable.
    You do need a good working battery though, preferrably with a 30A battery charger attached to the patch connectors, to get a succesful flash.

    As far as I know the flash(source code) still hasn't been released so that cheaper cables can be adapted to be used to communicate with the DME or the other cool stuff can be worked on. I'm kind of wondering what the hold up is myself...

    I flashed the new file, HUGE difference versus stock with JB4 G5 ISO.

    Installed AR DP's, BMS Intake, CP-E Charge pipe, + BMS PUMP flash yesterday.

    Spins the garbage previous owner 225 (REAR) nexens through a bunch of 3rd gear now.

    It's well worth the 180$ + 10$ shipping if you can't find a local cable!

    I'm not $#@!ing about the cost of the BT cable. It's just that the point of this whole exercise was to develop an open source option not limited to any single hardware option. The flash is up, running and working. So where's the source so people can actually start opening it up and doing what it was meant to do?

    Just be patient. Someone is working on the mobile aspect now. Do you want development on that pulled? Let's get everything rolling and then release source for EVERYTHING.

    People should just be happy this even exists in the first place.

    I guess i just don't get why it hasn't been released. If klipse is working on a mobile setup that's awesome, but how is releasing the source going to hinder development on that? There are a lot of talented people just waiting to get their hands on it and that's the best thing for it's development IMHO.

    It won't necessarily hinder it but if we want updates to this software as it sits wouldn't one of the people involved with it from the beginning be worth having available? Wouldn't it be great to have source for mobile and desktop applications complete before muddying the waters?
