that car did not seem to be moving that well at all at the atco DOR event... honestly I thought it looked slow , something was prob tweaked/fixed/changed... the vargas stg 2 135i ran pretty damn close to him or may have even nosed him out at atco's DOR and he dynoed 480~ish.

several variables changed between july 12 and now- conditions- rain/heat; traction; all relative. or maybe it wasnt running right.. but i edged him by 1-1/2 cars and i edged the vtt stg2 by a few cars at a different event.

Ive talked to the guy that did the video, and had the turbo s, he says they are coming down for the rematch, so we shall see how it plays out. i think they are like us, and just want good fun competition.

Well he's the current record holder for a 6MT, and I'm sure that won't be difficult with the bus... Gotta keep up with USP after their P-car showing off at FL2k

    DCT E90 M3 + supercharger = Easy 10 second car - ESS-Tuning VT2-650 M3 S65 V8 supercharger kit runs 10.89@127.8

Some people still seem to doubt how potent the E9X M3 is with a little forced air. What you see here is an ESS-Tuning VT2-650 supercharged E90 M3 breaking into the 10 second 1/4 mile range with no drama. This is a four door car that can be daily driven but provide exceptional performance when necessary. This is not even the strongest supercharger option out there for the E9X M3's but what the run shows is that 10 second performance from an M3 with a supercharger is easily within reason.

Expect to see more E9X M3's breaking into the 10's which is hardly considered a rare or difficult feat for the platform any longer.

Not sure what brand, either MT ot NT, but a drag radial.. its needed for these cars. I may have to mount mine for the rematch - looks like I have my work cut out for me Click here to enlarge

Very impressive no matter what, but i'd be curious how many of these 10 second passes that tranny could take.
2011 335is DCT, JB4 + MHD BEF, stage 2 LPFP, e50 + 50/50 meth, FBO, MT ET Streets when needed

Without launch control, plenty. The trans can handle that power level just fine but launches obviously use up discs.

The jury is still out on that one. some people say LC is better- conventional trans operating theory would disagree; others say its the immediate pedal/mash/dump that does them in. In theory one that doesnt slip it is better for longevity since it heats it less.. then again, repeated dumping may cause hot spots..

Sounds like LC was used to me? Amazing if it was, I would have expected that amount of power + DR + 5,500rpm LC (doesn't sound like it was adjusting) would have produced crazy wheelspin.

I spin with pullies, test pipes, k&N, evolve stg2 using PS2's and toggling the LC down to 5,000rpm. I'm wondering of the LC default was programmed to a more casual 3,500-4,000rpm

LC was definitely used. I was referring to what is better/worse for longevity.

I heard that the new DCT s/w allows you to modulate the launch RPM though.

Even stock M3s need sticky tires to get a good run, The prep was probably pretty good too.
