    EGS error code

    Anyone know what a CF2A error refers to for the EGS ?

    Is that a fault code or an error code from the software application you are using to read the codes? Not on the list of fault codes I have.

    You might want to check some of the other screens in INPA. There should be one that gives a little more detail about the trouble codes. I agree that you should clear it and see if it returns.

    What kind of symptoms are you seeing? Does the car drive normally? Is the MIL/CEL on? Have you done the Alpina flash?

    Looks more like a Tool32 error code format. I have been reading lately that INPA is old tech. What is the year and model of your car?

    U need to access the trans module via inpa and read the code there.

    It's a hex code, look up top of this sub forum, there is a sticky where Cn555 posted up some newer DME codes from Tools32. Same format and they stop right about where cf2a should be. Maybe this is off a newer car, that code format does not correspond to any previous EGS fault code list I have seen on e90 cars.

    SZM is Center Console Switch Cluster module, so maybe related to shifter or display?
