Eventually, I may upgrade to the HTA3586 but will probably need a stronger trans before going that route.
I know a guy that sells GTX series brand new for about 1k off price. Or actually a lot of other turbos for that matter. Pm me if you want info.

BTW, congrats bro. that's one healthy powerband. I'm pretty sure you can get like 650-700whp with this turbo with some racegas and meth. Evo guys run that similar turbo and hit those numbers.

Boost peaks at ~22 psi. Transmission is 6AT. I'll post up a log tonight when I get home. Thanks to Terry for his support on this project! I was only hoping for 550 whp.

The thing of utmost importance in a power band is where it leaves you post shift. And his band does just fine there. There's nothing keeping him from revving it out to 7200rpm other than personal preference I would think and our restrictive stock head having diminishing returns up there, that torque is hella flat.

Great work eleventeen! Been following this a while, I bet that things a blast to tool around in! Hopefully there's trans options soon so you can HTA it up!

Nope, it's auto so it shifts at 6800 RPM. Although it's a bit short, many cars peak and start to drop back off while this keeps pulling until it prepares to shift. I would like to have more bottom end, but that is only an issue in first gear.

Thanks! I'm not opposed to a 6MT swap if necessary. I would just prefer to see a build thread from someone on it first so I know what to expect haha. The electronics side is my only concern.

Finally seeing some numbers - NICE! Could you do some acceleration vids maybe? Also if I might ask, how much did this cost you including the turbo?

Okay, I'll try to get some videos.

On the cost thing, I ended up losing track at some point. I started buying parts back in early 2012, but probably about $4-5k if you subtract the first failed manifold. I would love to say I spent way less than a ready to run system built by some big name fab shop; but when they already have jigs and everything all figured out, it is a lot cheaper for them to build. Also, stainless steel isn't cheap!

Well, funny you should ask. While logging Thursday afternoon on my lunch break in prep for the dyno, I noticed low fuel pressure dropping to ~40 psi. I came back to work and immediately ordered a new OEM LPFP to be overnighted so I could install Friday night after work. It was a gamble because I couldn't tell for sure which pump gave out since they are both in the tank (OEM & Walbro). When I got them on the bench they were both still working but when testing the old OEM pump next to the new one, the old one sounded weaker and slower. I popped the new one in and took a few more logs and everything looked good.

Actually, here's are some logs I took after installing the new LPFP. One is a 4th gear pull to redline, and a nice long 5th gear run as well:

Nice work man! If you swapped this thing out to a GTX3076 with an .82 housing, your car would be night and day. Would make the same power feel better all around and pick up at least 500 RPM's worth of spool, while only losing a little bit of top end potential which you arent even close to yet. Just something to think about, dyno graph looks awesome though.

Thanks, Tony. That's part of the reason I went with a Garrett turbo and Tial housing. There are several turbo options that will bolt up using the same inlet and DP flange, so I can easily switch things up if I want.
