    Single turbo dyno 570 WHP (93 + meth)

    Hey guys,


    I finally got this project of mine onto the dyno. My current setup is a top-mount GT3582R w/ 1.03 A/R Tial housing and JB4 w/ Cobb. These runs were done on 93 + meth (80/20 with two CM7 nozzles). Boost peaks at ~22 psi. Transmission is 6AT. I'll post up a log tonight when I get home. Thanks to Terry for his support on this project! I was only hoping for 550 whp.

    ur turbo smaller than 6466?

    can u set full boost at 5000 rpm?

    Yes, it's only rated at ~600hp.

    I don't have a log in front of me at the moment, but I believe 22 psi does come in before 5k, even with the 1.03 A/R housing.

    I'd do that. That M must be ready for some action by now (I haven't kept up since you changed out the SC). BTW, I dynoed at Radical where you took the 335i for reference on how this particular dyno reads.

    Wow! that's impressive that you got so close to the theoretical max! Also, very impressive tq curve...love those peak and hold tq curves!

    Id def think about sending that turbo to forced performance for the HTA upgrade. I gained 400rpm in spool and almost 100hp on the top end by switching to the HTA wheels. Upgrade is $700

    Well, it would have been a lot cheaper if I didn't end up building two different manifolds; but I didn't really keep track of the expenditures (I started purchasing parts about a year and a half ago). Honestly, I probably could have just bought the FFTEC kit LOL. Doing your own R&D is very expensive but I always have this idiotic urge to try building things myself.

    Yeah, I considered going with either that or the GTX, but figured a 600 hp turbo would be plenty (my goal was actually only 550 whp). With this in mind, I decided to save myself some cash and not go overboard. Weeeeeell, now I wish I would have gone with one of those. Eventually, I may upgrade to the HTA3586 but will probably need a stronger trans before going that route.
