Nice update. It such a great sense of security knowing the rear end is fully reinforced.

The stock springs are very prone to cracking. It happened to me twice when my suspension was stock.

I would, but I need to tackle valve adjustment. Also maybe doing the Beisans full vano's rebuild, or the turbotoy hub with the Beisans rebuild kit. Most important things first. If you still have it for sale after I get all that done I'll hit you up for sure.

    Now for some pics.

No worries man! Definitely prioritize the preventative maintenance.

I just did the full Beisan Systems upgrade with my original stock exhaust hub. So far everything is working out very well. The Anti-Rattle kit actually made a noticeable difference and I didn't find mine to be noisy to begin with.

Just make sure that EVERY SINGLE step is followed, so as not to risk cam and VANOS timing!

    All the best buddy!

Yea having the valves adjusted next weekend. I'm crossing my fingers hoping the tabs are good. If so I will order the full beisans setup, and have that done shortly after. What kind of power did you make with those schricks?

Good deal man! Looking forward to hearing how yours turn out.

Hopefully the interwebz won't hate me, but I sold them to a friend. Before going nuts with a N/A setup, I decided to keep things simple for the next year or so. Then I plan on 'boosting' my 'bimmer' with the upcoming Evolve Automotive Supercharger Kit. After toying with that for a little, I will be prepping a new head with PnP work, valvetrain, and big cams. Click here to enlarge

I figure this is the best time to play with boost before I start passing the point of no return with a N/A setup.

Going F/I usually leads to more power, and then wanting more and more. The good thing about Sc kits is they are super simple. Usually cams give some decent gains to a sc setup. The tuner I used for my e36 m3 turbo has tuned a decent amount of s54 with varying mods. 1 car with a set of cheapy ebay headers made 321whp, and 256wtq. I believe it also had a drop k&n filter nothing crazy. I'm thinking headers for me after I get some track time with a tune should be fine for a while. I also plan on having the cooling system over hauled. Water pump, thermostat, and radiator. Have you gotten to replacing those items yet?

Definitely agree with that! I've never owned a car over 400whp, so this will be kind of exciting. Regardless of power output, my heart will always lie with Natural Aspiration. So I have some how real myself back, LOL.

I heard great things about RK-Tunes! It's amazing how far MSS54 tuning as come and how there are just so many great options out there!

I haven't done my cooling system. I plan on tackling that right before the track season next year. My plans are to replace everything throughout the system, so that will be a fun investment. If you don't want to do the overhaul soon, you can even try cleaning out debris from between the radiator and AC condenser. A lot of junk gets stuck there decreasing the functionality and efficiency of the cooling system. I have friends who saw that as a nice temporary solution.

    Same.

The only time I ever faulted natural aspiration is when I lost a race. Or when trying to explain to some idiot on the forums about the driving experience over raw power.

Congrats on the new car. I'll never get over the looks of the e46 M3. One of the best looking cars of all time.

I've been down the F/I route. I was always jealous of the euro spec cars in the e36 form when I was a young human. I pretty much did every form of modding on the e36 US spec m3. N/A, SC, and turbo with built motor. I'm thinking down the line going with a modded crank from Lang racing where they enlarge the rod bearing section on the crank to make them more durable. I'm a bit spoiled from my last car as far as power goes, but that did nothing but get me in trouble(the law).

Once I get this stuff done I can't wait to get some normal seat time. I bet a nice blower setup on the car feels great. I do wish the smg wasn't as problematic as it is I wouldn't picked up 1 of those for driving in traffic, but this clutch is much easier to operate compared to the clutchnet red stage 4 clutch kit. Much easier to push down. I'm not used to having that extra gear yet either.

While the car is at the shop (Project M Spec) I'm having the diff seals replaced as the front seal had a small leak. Also having the fuel pump replaced as well. Just getting a whole sort of things taken care of that can be done. Once I get it back I'm going to clean out in between the rad, and condenser as you suggested. Makes perfect sense to do that periodically. I'm hoping to pick her up Friday, and it all weekend.

Picked up the Beisans vano's kit. Should be installed tomorrow unless the hub isn't in great shape.

Just drove the car after having all the Beisans products installed. What difference it made along with having all the valves running in proper spec. What a great power band these motors have. I had a local guy from m3forum.net do the work his screen name on there is
Great guy with fair prices incase someone in the Tristate area needs valve adjustments, or work like this. http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...361450&page=13

Guy has great reviews, and for good reason
