BMS 335I vs PTF 335is DCT

Much thanks to Terry@BMS for helping make this black 2009 e92 335i a beast! He has been relentless Day and Night with his support and his customer service CANNOT be matched by anyone else....

A battle far from over....These two cars with different tunes battle it out again. What's different from the previous time they raced is the black BMS 335i is now completely cattles and running meth (50%) with E50 mix, and more advance timing (15). The camera car tuned by PTF has the same mods, lower timing, and the weather is much more humid and hotter from the last time they raced which caused some timing pulls due to sky rocketing IATs supposedly

Please note that the camera is mounted to the very rear of the quarter panel window on the PTF tuned 335is

    Mode list of both cars:

Camera Car: PTF tuned 2011 335is, aFe Stage 2 Elite Intake, cP-e Catted Downpipes, Dinan Intercooler, Dinan axle back exhaust

Black Car: BMS flash + JB4 + Meth (50%) tuned 2009 335i, Alpina Flash, DCI, Completely Catless, FMIC

Are you letting the DME shift itself? It looks like it in the logs. Nice pulls!

its in the thread lol but reason why is because the temps outside were 85 with 70-80% humidity

I mean, i read that it was hot and he was getting some timing pulls due to IAT compensation, but it shouldn't be pulling 5*+ of timing. Can't really tell what the timing corrections look like because his logs aren't scaled to show negative integers..

Why didn't you guys upload to datazap? Much easier on the eyes.

PTF already addressed the issue on this, received my new map shockingly the next day. Nothing hasn't been finalized yet, the car is still being fine tuned for summer weather.

close race! 15 degrees is pretty high. i know zeel tried 14 degrees on e60 and meth and the car did not like it. the most he and i get away with is 13 degrees of timing. that dct is awesome.

i understand but the the logs show 0 timing correction so cant see why it would be not worth racing on...... my car seems to have no issues with it Click here to enlarge

Yea I need to really test out that map more. It definitely didn't like short shifting. So I gotta try getting some logs winding it out to redline.

The flash does not work well if you do not let the car redline and shift itself

We haven't dyno'ed them yet at the "level they are at". When PTF is finished with my current map for this weather, then more than likely it will follow with a dyno.

The last time the OP dyno'ed his car he got 415'ish WHP on a mustang dyno. That was on a his previous BMS flash via Cobb AP, stacking with JB4, No Meth, with midcats.

Now he has meth, and is completely catles so I would put him roughly around 430'ish whp per mustang dyno.

That is quite a run for the 335is. I recently ran a fbo-jb4/e85-flash with my fbo-Cobb/e85 e30 map and the jb4 just walked away from me like nobody's business. BMS makes a hell of a product- To bad i was blind folded in the other forum and bought cobb.. Click here to enlarge

You need something other than an OTS map... What's your rom type?

Hey lulz_m3, I have IA80S. I have been messing with ATR in its self without actually loading it --yet. I took a look at your 93 aggressive/meth map, it has helped me differentiate some of the tables from other maps. I was going to Post a thread but i dont meet the rep requirement Click here to enlarge.. But yes sir i need something a bit more aggressive since i have upgraded to the 455 lpfp.

here is the thread i was going to post just for kicks Click here to enlarge Thanks
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    Hey guys,

    First Post

I have been lurking around the forums while i was deployed overseas and since ive been back i am putting all the pieces together. I am transitioning from a ford small block 351 on the juice. I was contemplating upgraded turbos but i will wait and see what i can strain out of these stokers.

    I am running FBO e30- no meth - Cobb E30 OTS //// 07 335i AT upgraded 455 lpfp

some recent cars ive ran :
ran a Jb4 %E30 mix - he walked me all the way home and tucked me in and kissed me goodnight.
ran a stock 03 cobra and he walked me aswell.

I have read the ATR forum a few times but i am a bit hesitant to mess with the timing
-I tried comparing e30 map to race map and they are identical so that was no help
-I tried comparing stg 2 agressive to e30 map and there is a huge difference in timing chart-

My question : I Would like to run 50/50 mix. Other than changing the fuel Scalar to 1.213, What would you guys suggest my timing increments should be? at which specific RPM/load? Any other tables to pay attention to?

Any hints/ suggestions are welcomed!!! I tried to convince the wife a PTF tune was needed but she didnt go for it $$$.

here is a Log of a run e30- looks solid to me.
Not enough rep points --- no link Click here to enlarge

    Thanks in advance.
